Obviously by this point in time, premiere movies had become less of a big deal for the networks with Nine only giving the 2nd Lord Of The Rings film a Saturday night premiere. That’s in contrast to how the trilogy’s first installment received a Sunday night debut almost a year earlier.
Australia Unites: Reach Out To Asia - one of the few times that the exact same program aired across the Seven, Nine & Ten Networks.
While the promos mentioned a simulcast on Triple M, it’s to my understanding that most major commercial FM stations ran Australia Unites: Reach Out To Asia. Pretty sure it was on all five (remember, 95.3 was several months away from launching at this point in time) in Sydney anyway…
Hmm, there’s a bit of a theme going on with these recent batches of caps - seems that the original recorder was a “Joan of Arcadia” fan!
Not that I’m complaining of course. If anything, it’ll probably make things a bit easier if/when future Channel Nine recordings from December 2004/January 2005 are found in the future.
Didn’t know there was a set of limited edition stamps released to mark the 45th birthday of Channel Nine Adelaide! Then again, it’s highly likely that they were likely only distributed in South Australia.
Also nice to see an Adelaide version of the then-current National Nine News & A Current Affair Promo/Update Endtag!
