Bump

This show is too good for The CW. Unfortunate it’s stuck on there.

I just finished Season 2, really loved it - just as good as Season 1 a few of the characters got a little more air time, especially the school friends etc.

So glad it has been renewed for Season 3 it is a really enjoyable little aussie show.

Season 2 will stream on CBC Gem in Canada, as part of a major scripted and non-scripted content deal between ITV Studios and Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.

Stan, Australia’s unrivalled home of original productions, today announced that production has commenced for season four of the Logie and AACTA-nominated Stan Original Series Bump. Currently filming in Sydney, the brand new season will jump forward once again - this time by two years.

Now finding their feet in the world as full-grown adults, Oly (Nathalie Morris) and Santi (Carlos Sanson Jr) are trying to stabilise their small family unit with their challenging seven-year-old Jacinda. Vince (Ioane Sa’ula), Talia (Henrietta Amevor) and Ariel (Matilda Ridgway) have found their own stride with toddler Malik too, although the involvement of Reema (Safia Arain) as sort-of-half-step-mum complicates things a little – especially since she has no interest in having kids herself.

Oly’s first proper job finds her on a steep learning curve with her difficult boss Shauna who expects Oly to be available 24/7, while Santi struggles to redefine his masculinity as Jacinda’s primary carer, and no longer the primary breadwinner. At the same time, Dom is blissfully reliving his share-house years, while Reema and Vince reckon with the notion that their relationship may not have a viable future. Angie (Claudia Karvan) clings to the climate crisis as a distraction from her recent heartbreak, putting her at loggerheads once more with Rosa (Paula Garcia), whose growing restaurant empire seems far from sustainable. As the chaos of life shows no signs of settling down, our characters are forced to confront the question: how do you find hope and joy in the midst of an existential crisis?

In Bump season four we’ve jumped forward again – this time by two years. Oly’s the brand new breadwinner; Santi’s the unhappy stay-at-home dad, and the endless interventions from their big mess of a family are going to make or break them.

Oly (Nathalie Morris) and Santi (Carlos Sanson Jr) are back together, having finally stabilised their small family unit with their challenging seven-year-old Jacinda (Ava Cannon). Angie (Claudia Karvan) has moved out of the Chalmers-Davis house into a protest camp, focusing on environmental activism and the climate crisis in part as a useful distraction from her recent heartbreak. Stan is taking over the Baja Cantina in Glebe and slinging free empanadas from 11am with the beloved cast in attendance. They’ll be hot out of the oven, so get your hands on one while stocks last.

UPDATE 22/12

Season four ended on multiple cliffhangers. I assumed this would be the last season. Looks like a potential 5th season to finish it off.

So, after no explanation of why Santi’s Dad Mattius was no where to be seen in season 3, he has all of a sudden just reappeared in season 4! Very weird.

Season 5
