They are all NEC’s & yes they are old, they were moved from Artarmon about 6 years ago, when the transmitters at Artarmon were replaced with R&S’s.
These were the original Digital TV transmitters at Artarmon when DTV began, they’ll be shipped to the other TXA state capital sites for spare parts, (no longer available from NEC).
We already have video journalists with some news organisations in the country.
Google tells me it is a reporter on the now defunct news program Chasing New Jersey on WWOR New York in 2015.
It will be interesting to see the empty shell of the old main studio when they start demolishing that.
Probably filled with copper and asbestos.
I used to enjoy seeing the aerial view of the giant Nine logo on the roof of the studios at the start of the Mike Walsh Show when I was a kid. It was covered up when they added the executive level in the late '70s (early '80s?). Will be interesting to see if any evidence of it remains as they start peeling bits off the building.
And I was only there myself a few months ago.
Did they finally blow the notion that some guests were in a different city when they’re actually in the studio next door? Such a stupid pretence.
No its for social distancing purposes.
They’ve been doing it since well before the pandemic
Is Steve sitting in the ATV10 news studio? I think it is on the same floor just down the corridor at The Como.
I guess HYBPA do a similar thing for the socially distanced guests on there too although I think some of them are in the ATV10 board room as well.
Usually just for some interviews, not the 4th co-host.
Also that would be done from a green screen, they wouldn’t fire up the other studio just for that.
Sport studio.
Which I’m guessing doesn’t see much use these days! No sport on Ten anymore. Probably some late night MotoGP coverage comes out of ATV10 still? Can’t think of anything else.
What’s the point of social distancing if you have a host run between the two studios?
I suspect now it is also about uniformity between the Sunday Project and the weekday version, where it is likely that one of the hosts is interstate. I guess now it’s just their standard to have 3 people at the desk and one on the screen regardless of current social distancing restrictions.
Also means that if Melbourne goes back into lockdown the format of the show doesn’t need to change at the drop of a hat.
The social distancing regulations haven’t changed since the start of the pandemic. You must remain1.51apart.
