Fuji Television (JOCX-DTV)'s studios and observation deck in Odaiba, Tokyo.

That observation deck area can also be set up for television or exhibition space.

The construction hoardings have been removed from the new ABC Parramatta Ground floor studios. They are located within Parramatta Square, at the base of 6/8 Parramatta Square directly across from the PHIVE building which is seen in the reflection in the photos below.

There appears to be the one radio studio and a television studio with an abundance of LED panels.

Hard to get a decent photo due to the reflections and the fact there’s still some fencing up.

Good find. Interesting to see the dream v reality.

Another good find. Interesting to see 7, 9, 10 and Sky, not ABC on ARN’s multiviews… Cool too see the size of that sports studio at 9.

Word on the street Seven Melbourne’s new facility will have two studios.

Studio 1 (main studio 19 x 19m) to be utilised by 7 News / Talking Footy etc
Studio 2 (small studio 4 x 6 m) to be utilised for 7 News Updates, Sunrise / Morning Show live crosses etc.

There will be two Control rooms on site. Unfortunately, Seven Melbourne will lose its small production studio. I would say the Front Bar (and its studio audience) will be produced off site at this stage.

Bit disappointing they couldn’t incorporate a seperate sports studio seeing as the networks head of sports department is based there.

How big does this compare to the current news studio?

I believe it’s larger in area but shorter in height due to it being built in an exiting office building. The new studio could accommodate two programmes if need be, which I would assume will happen due to the requirement of two control rooms.

I’d imagine that space (or the lack of appropriate-sized space) is a big driver behind this - moving into what is nominally an office building would mean that they’d be making some concessions on what they can fit into the space they have available

I presume that the second control room would be used to assist with sports coverage, similar to how the former MCR Playout facility operates.

As for a separate sports studio, most of the sporting coverage is now done via external companies (Liv Golf, V8’s), or is done on location (AFL, VFL Horse Racing). Only studio elements is whenever Seven Adelaide does local pre, half time and post game coverage for local games covered by Fox Footy.

Yes, and if Seven wanted to run another live programme straight after the news it’s possible.

The main studio (studio 1) is large enough to occupy two separate sets opposite one another for news and sports programmes. Or Seven could opt for one larger set that’s interchangeable between programmes.

The down side is, they cant run live programming at the same time from the main studio. Currently GTV9 has the ability to run the networks Tennis Coverage and News at the same time. Even ATV10 Melbourne have this ability.

If Front Bar ends up going to NEP South Melbourne it’d be a return of Seven Sports AFL programming to Dorcas St.
