But The Mail on Sunday can reveal that rival bosses at the BBC are set to swoop in and poach the Scottish star as they step up their ratings battle with ITV.

Seven showed the first season of The Crow Girl last year but elected not to buy the second season.

The BBC has announced that Delta Goodrem will compete on the new season of Strictly Come Dancing. Other celebrities announced so far are SAS: Australia v England’s Dani Dyer (who had to withdraw from last year’s season due to injury at training) and EastEnders actress Lacey Turner.

Might be time to air Strictly in Australia with Delta on board, was lots of interest with Robert on Dancing US last year, perfect Saturday night fodder, or 9pm Sunday to keep it more recent

Problem is that we probably don’t know who most of the other “stars” are on Strictly Come Dancing. I’ve never heard of Lacey Turner or Dani Dyer.

We don’t know the people on Love Island UK and that was popular, this is a different demo that would watch it for the dancing regardless. We don’t know the judges on AGT and seven continue to screen that. The Aussie market is missing Dancing right now so it could fill 30hrs of screen time with new content rather than repeats.

If 10 can get it cheap it’d help their back end of year. Depends if they want to show it a week later on Saturdays or during the week (wed to fri) at 8:45 ish

I think those ate completely different kettles of fish.

Viewers watch Love Island for the stupid people doung stupid things. And the Got Talent shows are more about the performers than the judges.

It’s different with the crlebtity reality shows like Structly and I’m A Celebrity. In those cases, I really think the reason for watching is the clebrities.

The issue is whether BBC Studios is willing to sell Strictly Come Dancing to 10. I think Seven still holds the rights to DWTS in Australia.

The flaw is that the results are often leaked online on late Saturday night, before the results show are shown on Sunday nights, which frustrate many Strictly fans.

I don’t get why can’t they just have the results on the same night as the dance like we do here. Is it really necessary to have a whole separate ‘results’ show that hogs up the Sunday primetime slot on the BBC? If there’s any cost cutting that’s needed the Sunday show can go and the results can go into Saturday night.

UK papers have reported that British actress Emma Hussen, who has acted alongside Jason Statham and appeared in EastEnders spinoff E20, has been arrested after allegedly trying to smuggle meth into Australia. She will reportedly remain in jail until her next court appearance in August.

The British Soap Awards have been reportedly axed by ITV.

Fair enough, I suppose. There are less sosps on air now. Some were axed and others were moved to streaming or multichannels.
