The revelation came after ITV announced its first half results. It reported that streaming service BritBox is performing strongly in the US, Canada and Australia with two million total subscriptions, up around 18%.
Simon Cowell’s popular talent show “The X Factor” has been canceled after 17 years, U.K. broadcaster ITV has confirmed.
“There are no current plans for the next series of ‘The X Factor’ at this stage,” an ITV spokesperson said in a statement shared with Variety.
Cowell’s next venture will be musical quiz show “Walk The Line” for ITV and VOD platform ITV Hub.

ITV has confirmed that the forthcoming 21st series of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! will return to Gwrych Castle, Abergele in North Wales.
That would mean three of the five major networks would be owned America’s Big media.
