My local dealership have started to shut up shop. They’ve extended the next door Suzuki dealership into the space and added some Kia vehicles too. Signage remains the same for the moment

Oh FFS. Hopefully the brewers come up with a good new name quickly.

This is new. Dairy Milk Marvellous Moments, Birthday Cake.

I’m hoping you guys can help me with this one. I’m looking for a picture or information about a Kirks drink that has a rainbow colour label. I’m not sure if it’s produced anymore. I believe it was only available in selected eastern states and was similar in flavour to Pasito. Does this ring anyone’s bells?

Fruita?

That’s the one. Thank you!

Fruita was made by Halls in SA until Coca Cola bought them out. They still produce it under the Kirks branding, but I have only spotted it in the occasional IGA over here in Vic.

Also, Schweppes sell a red creaming soda under their Traditionals brand in QLD, which tastes awesome, but can’t get here in VIC. (We have the brown version)

Kirks have had a few limited edition flavours in recent years. Not sure if they have one at the moment though.

I don’t tend to buy Kirks that often. Some of the Woolies home brand ones are pretty good, particularly the Passionfruit and Lemon flavours.

Saw this today in Coles. A dark chocolate Violet Crumble.

WA also used to carry the Red variant instead of the Brown, but I can only find the Brown one now. I think it’s been discontinued. Their product range no longer lists it either.

At the Coles I was at, they were flogging them for 20 cents clearing them out.

Woolies used to sell a tropical flavour, it was the closest to Fruita I could find but they don’t make it anymore.

It’s taken them this long to think they should change the name?

They most likely thought there was no problem with the name really until the public got tired of it? While the public might have been sick of it for a while, the BLM movement really has many companies thinking now.

I think the chocolate shortbread creams might be good but I’ll pass on the other variations.

Nestle has announced that’ll rename the Allen’s branded Red Skins and Chicos lollies due to the current names being out of step with the company’s values. The new names are yet to be finalised.

Don’t know they hadn’t tried to implement a change over the past decade when this issue was first raised.

They could have called them Red Skin Chews for example and then transitioned to Red Chews. It says Super Chews on the packet so maybe that’s what they can go with.

Chicos is a bit more complicated.

Are chicos even popular? Just end the line. Red chews or super chews is easy enough to change. Should have been done years and years ago.

Agreed, they’re rather ordinary tasting lollies anyway IMO.

The red ones, just change those to “Red Chews” or something which isn’t offensive.
