Where was I when this was around?

Yeah. I mentioned before about the recent shrinkflation to Cherry Ripe. They look like novelty chocolates you’d find in a sample bag. From 55g to 44g now.

The larger sized Cherry Ripe Twin packs have gone from 80g to 68g.

Meanwhile, the supermarkets are trying to make you think you are getting a bargain. After pushing chocolate bars up from $2 to $2.50 recently and now shrinking the sizes, they keep reducing them to “Better than ½ Price” some weeks. Very shonky.

That special is very common one week it would be the Cadbury bars next week Mars etc its like the Cadbury blocks they are consistently on special.

I know. I would only buy whatever is on special.

The difference here is they usually do ½ Price which is $1.25. Now they’re doing Better than ½ Price at $1.

Just so odd that the prices shot up to $2.50 but they can still manage to reduce them to $1 which is an obvious huge mark up. If they can afford to sell them at $1 and still make a profit for half the time, why sell them at $2.50 for the other weeks?

Somebody should report them for false advertising too. The images of the bars in the catalogue are old ones when Turkish Delight was 50g and Dairy Milk 55g.

Probably to catch people out on the off week its full price. I buy coffee every month 1kg Grinders coffee every month which full price is $35 but i subscribe to a subscribe and save from Amazon for about $22 which is considerably cheaper but randomly the price would go up to over $30 only for the price to drop back to $22 a few weeks later. This is designed to profit from people who don’t pay attention to the monthly emails indicating the price of their monthly order and therefore skip the delivery if it’s too expensive. Usually it happens when Woolworths has it on a good special for roughly the same price. It’s super annoying you should be able to trust Subscribe and Saves to always be a good price and not jump around like above.

Major Australian nurseries, including retail giant Bunnings, are selling plants listed as invasive weeds.

Escaped garden plants are the primary source of new weeds in Australia, costing the agriculture industry alone an estimated $4.3 billion annually.

Mallee Conservation president Fiona Murdoch said the invasive ground cover gazania — imported from South Africa and popular among gardeners for its pretty flowers — is causing a “massive problem” as it spreads in the Mallee and Wimmera.

even as someone who drinks a 473ml can of red bull daily i would have no objection to energy drinks being age restricted like in the UK

:open_mouth: Do you check your blood pressure?

I do indeed. I am over 40 so have yearly checks with my doctor.

Highly recommend (to anyone) getting off or limiting energy drinks and caffeine throughout their day. Really does affect one’s mood, anxiety and sleep.
