Yeah. First I’ve heard of it. It’s just a clickbait title to suck you in:

From 7news.com.au? Never! /s
The entire point of 7news.com.au is to publish as much clickbait as possible.
The site is a stain on the Seven News brand and I have no idea why Seven’s upper management allow it. Sadly it gets visitors and so this will continue
Sad to hear. The brand had been a favourite of many older generation in Hong Kong, largely because of their “Thank you, Sara Lee” jingle in the 80s.
McDonald’s Australia has announced a brand new collaboration with popular footwear retailer Crocs.
Shoppers can get their hands on the limited edition shoes in-person or online at Crocs and Platypus stores from 12pm on November 8 until stocks last.
Shudder.
The Cancer Council of WA’s complaint regarding Hard Solo has been upheld, and Asahi will change the alcoholic drink’s brand name from Hard Solo to Hard Rated, and its packaging, by February 9 next year.
Will be interesting just how strict the rebranding will be and how much it will deviate from the current packaging.
I think it would be suffice to remove the lemon tree and just replace Solo with Rated and slightly altered font and surely they could say ‘with solo’ on the can albeit with or without a small solo logo.
I doubt Asahi will risk it - it will already be a costly exercise (and I believe it has a decent time until implementation before it comes into effect because of production timelines)
For years I have always bought plain salted Smiths Chips. A simple snack with three ingredients - potatoes, vegetable oil and salt.
I just bought my last packet as I notice that they now contain eight ingredients and most of them are ultra processed additives. Ultra processed are easily identified as you would not normally have them in your kitchen, such as tocopherals or emulsifiers.
Luckily all of the other plain chips on the market still only contain the three natural ingredients. Smiths Chips - Making Simple Food Complex
I noticed the packaging for Violet Crumble has changed to a lighter shade of purple. Looking closer I also noticed they also added the “new” company name Menz.
Nestlé sold Violet Crumble to Robern Menz in 2018. They dropped the Nestlé logo and made it Australia’s Violet Crumble. Now they’ve added the Menz logo.
Gina Rinehart has bought Driza-Bone brand.

UPDATE 18/12: Gina has added Rossi Boots to her company’s ownership.
Weren’t these also a popular item at movie theatres in the 50s/60s/70s?
It’s funny how they haven’t been on shelves for months but someone only noticed now so there is “outrage”.
Gotta get those clicks
I seem to remember that Woolworths has actually done this before. There was a time when you could only buy Jaffas and Fantales at Coles. I think Woolies was named and shamed before and they brought them back.
I remember this because my dad complained that he couldn’t find his favourite lollies Fantales anywhere. I did my usual shop at Woolworths and checked on the shelves and asked at the service desk. Then I checked online and Woolies no longer stocked either but Coles did. So he went to Coles for Fantales and shopped there instead.
