So will Coke still be made here in Australia or imported from Europe?
Coke will still be made in Australia.
The only thing I’d suggest we would see is national consolidation of the 4 CCA plants across Australia, the shipping costs would be far too high to import beverages from Europe.
Lion and former Newcastle NRL stars, including Andrew and Matthew Johns, have launched a new brewery called Steel City.
i would sugest that importing coke would be a “new coke” style fiasco. the taste of coke is different enough people would complain
It appears the beer is currently made elsewhere, but should be brewed in Newcastle soon.
I was surprised at how different Diet Coke tasted in the US/Canada. It tasted just plain better.
There are differences in water, but also in the USA they use corn syrup instead of sucrose (cane sugar) in the regular (sugared) Coke/Sprite/etc. drinks
Toys ‘R’ Us huh? Haven’t heard that name since it went out of business a few years back.
Really don’t know the value of rebranding to a name of a bankrupt business.
might be bankrupt, but it still has name recognition.
But does it have a good enough reputation to revive the brand. Obviously they think so but let’s see if customers agree.
Previously in America:
On March 15, 2021, WHP Global acquired a controlling stake in Toys “R” Us. There are plans to reopen Toys R Us stores across the United States by the end of the year, but they would possibly be flagship stores, pop-ups, existing retail stores, mini stores and/or airport stores.
Better rebrand to Toys “R” Expensive.
I think it was a Simpsons joke. Or was it Family Guy.
Could’ve been Family Guy, I think Moe just flipped the “R” around on The Simpsons.
How intense can dark chocolate get?
Are they still pushing ahead with ranging Tesco products? Any time I go in there it seems to be a mish-mash of random products on clearance.
