FIRST LOOK AT NEW ANIMATED COMEDY SERIES

KRAPOPOLIS

PREMIERES 16 OCTOBER ON BINGE

The official trailer for the new animated comedy series Krapopolis, from Emmy Award®-winner, creator and executive producer Dan Harmon (Rick and Morty, Community), has been released ahead of its four-episode premiere 16 October on BINGE, with new episodes dropping weekly.

Set in mythical Ancient Greece, the series centres on a flawed family of humans, gods and monsters that tries to run one of the world’s first cities without killing each other.

The cast includes Matt Berry (What We Do in The Shadows) as Shlub, Hannah Waddingham (Ted Lasso) as Deliria, Richard Ayoade (The IT Crowd) as Tyrannis, Duncan Trussell (Adventure Time: Distant Lands) as Hippocampus and Pam Murphy (Get Shorty) as Stupendous.

Tyrannis (Ayoade), the mortal son of a goddess, is the benevolent king of Krapopolis and is trying to survive in a city that lives up to its name. Deliria (Waddingham) is Tyrannis’ mother, goddess of self-destruction and questionable choices. Within her extended Olympian family – forged in patricide and infidelity – she’s known as the trashy one. Shlub (Berry), Tyrannis’ father, is oversexed and underemployed and claims to be an artist and has literally never paid for anything, in any sense of the word, for his entire life. Stupendous (Murphy) is Tyrannis’ half-sister, daughter of Deliria and a cyclops. Hippocampus (Trussell) is Tyrannis’ half-brother, the offspring of Shlub and a mermaid, and, obviously, a hot mess, biologically speaking.

Krapopolis is owned by FOX Entertainment and produced by FOX’s Bento Box Entertainment. Dan Harmon is Creator and Executive Producer. Steve Levy is Executive Producer. Jordan Young is Executive Producer and Showrunner (Season One). Alex Rubens is Executive Producer and Showrunner (Seasons Two & Three).

KRAPOPOLIS premieres Monday October 16 on BINGE and Monday October 30 at 8.30pm on FOX8 and available On Demand.

While it is yet to be officially announced, production will start November 13. John Polson will direct, with Made Up Stories to produce alongside Blossom.

It is the third project based on a (Liane) Moriarty book that Blossom Films has worked on, the others being Big Little Lies and Nine Perfect Strangers.

Will Nicole star? She’s really getting around these days appearing in various series with different networks/streamers.

FIRST LOOK AT NEW DOCUMENTARY

DAVID HOLMES: THE BOY WHO LIVED

PREMIERES 16 NOVEMBER ON BINGE

The official trailer and key art for the new documentary David Holmes: The Boy Lived, executive produced by Daniel Radcliffe and directed by Dan Hartley (Lad: A Yorkshire Story), has been released today ahead of its 16 November premiere on BINGE.

The film is a coming-of-age story of stuntman David Holmes, a prodigious teenage gymnast from Essex, England, who is selected to play Daniel Radcliffe’s stunt double in the first Harry Potter film, when Daniel is just eleven. Over the next ten years, the two form an inextricable bond, but on the penultimate film a tragic accident on set leaves David paralyzed with a debilitating spinal injury, turning his world upside down. As Daniel and his closest stunt colleagues rally to support David and his family in their moment of need, it is David’s extraordinary spirit of resilience that becomes their greatest source of strength and inspiration.

Featuring candid personal footage shot over the last decade, behind-the-scenes material from Holmes’ stunt work, scenes of his current life and intimate interviews with David, Radcliffe, friends, family, and former crew, the film also reflects universal themes of living with adversity, growing up, forging identities in an uncertain world, and the bonds that bind us together and lift us up.

David Holmes: The Boy Lived in association with SKY, a Lightbox / Ripple Production. Directed by Dan Hartley; produced by Simon Chinn, Jonathan Chinn, Vanessa Davies, Amy Stares; executive produced by Daniel Radcliffe, David Holmes, Dan Hartley, Sue Latimer, Sarah Spahovic. For HBO: executive producers Nancy Abraham, Lisa Heller, Tina Nguyen. For SKY: executive producer, Poppy Dixon.

The inaugural TikTok Awards will streamed live on TikTok on December 6. It will then be available on BINGE from December 10.

OFFICIAL TRAILER, FIRST LOOK IMAGES AND KEY ART RELEASED FOR

STRIFE

PREMIERING DECEMBER 6 ON BINGE

BINGE today released the official trailer, first look images and key art for new Australian comedic drama, STRIFE, giving audiences a sneak peek at the highly anticipated series premiering on December 6 with all eight episodes dropping at once.

STRIFE stars acclaimed Australian actress Asher Keddie alongside an ensemble of established and up-and-coming talent including Matt Day, Jonathan LaPaglia, Tina Bursill, Emma Lung, Alex Dimitriades, Maria Angelico, Rhys Mitchell, Olivia Junkeer, BeBe Bettencourt, Bryony Skillington, Lucy Ansell, Darcy Tadich, Lincoln Younes and Willow Speers.

Produced by award winning production company Made Up Stories (Big Little Lies, Nine Perfect Strangers) in conjunction with FIFTH SEASON the series tells the story of a modern, imperfect woman and publisher named Evelyn Jones (Keddie) and her journey from lounge room blogger to becoming a force in women’s media.

Set in the dynamic and ever-changing world of publishing, digital media and its origins, the series is inspired by Mia Freedman’s memoir, ‘Work, Strife, Balance*’*, and written and adapted for screen by Australian screenwriter Sarah Scheller.

STRIFE is commissioned by the Foxtel Group for BINGE and will also be available on Foxtel.

Asher Keddie is an amazing actress and deserves any role she gets, but couldn’t help watching that trailer that she wasn’t a very inspired lead role choice - would have liked to have seen it go to someone else maybe.

Jonathan LaPaglia a nice surprise to see him back in an acting role, after a number of years really just hosting Survivor.

Haven’t we had enough of Abbie? Obviously not. Her PR people must work around the clock keeping her in the spotlight.
