That’s great - i’m surprised that they didn’t make a bigger deal about launching linear channels it is quite the differentiator compared to netflix/disney etc.
I actually thought Disney+ should have done the same when they shut down the Disney and Disney Jnr channels on foxtel - all the content is on Disney, i felt like it would have made sense to stream a linear channel on the app - good for those who don’t want to pick something and just turn the channel on.
Yeah it is very surprising. Something above and beyond what is traditionally the domain of a streaming service like this. Something I’m not sure anyone really asked for… but I guess it is valuable.

I downloaded the app on my iPhone, signed in and used that stream site to activate it.
Yes, made by the same subsidiary so you’d expect similarities in design just for consistencies sake.

Flack S2 EP1 is on Foxtel Now but it is not on Binge. S1 is on both. Is this an early example of what may happen, episodes being delayed on Binge?

I would have thought that adding Sky News was a no-brainer - good way of getting more eyeballs
I thought it was a clever move - especially given there isnt much live sport content at the moment

Interesting decision to put the linear channels on Binge considering the rumours that they wanted to take them off Kayo.
The live channel;s is a huge competitive advantage.
Foxtel will be watching closely to see if Binge canibalizes Foxtel.
Sky News would benefit greatly from being on the platform - but also Sky News skews very old, maybe not the target demo. Also right wing news kinda does not fit with the Binge brand
