Or just doing a 7 and screwing up a format.
My tip is that the â20 episodeâ rumor is in relation to them running a Celeb/All Star series.
So - Feb / Start of the year an All Star/Celeb series to compete with Iâm A Celeb.
Post Olympics - Regular BB series.
It wouldnât make sense for them to get the rights for only 20 episodes of a regular series. All the investment and money required to start the series up, the more episodes they make the better value for money it is for them and overall the series becomes cheaper. Thatâs why most reality shows are so bloody long.
The official Facebook and Instagram pages for Big Brother AU have been launched all but confirming 7 announcing itâs return tomorrow.
They have BBL when this is on 5 January.
Well they just killed the franchise if the rumour is true that it will all be filmed before going to air.

I hate everything in that article
Ah classic Seven - taking something that could work and fucking the execution of it
That sounds awful and is totally against the spirit of Big Brother. And I thought the Nine version was bad⌠Not sure who they think this version appeals to and if I am not mistaken this will be the only version of BB in the world to be pre recorded months in advance.
Also the one thing that set Big Brother apart was that the viewers got to have an impact on what happens. Not sure this will go down well with the Australian public.
Can you please turn off the autoplay of the podcast on your website.
An impressive contender for the Misses of 2020 thread and weâre still in the October preceding.
14 people. One winner. You They Decide.
In all seriousness tho, this isnât Big Brother. If youâre trying to revive a format, do it right, donât cut corners to make it budget-friendly. You got the format, do it right, donât break immersion.
Obviously weâll know more tomorrow night but I trust these sources and they are very reliable.
Totally agree. Personally I was never a huge fan of the series but holy crap, this new format is not what Big Brother was!
The Voice 2020 is being filmed in an old Bunnings, so I think thatâs where this warehouse rumour is coming from.
All the studious are fully booked so this is what the networkâs are having to resort to.
Uhhhhh, wtf.
If thatâs true, at least itâs confirmed dead before my hopes got too high.
so they pretty much change the whole format, but still called Big Brother? If thatâs the case, just call it a new name.
I agree. I miss the good old days of Live Reality Shows, particularly âeviction nightsâ. Not many live shows out there anymore. Such a shame
As expected, if even half of that is true then this show will be horrific. No live streaming, super edited and sanitized and just plain cheap and tacky.
Ten rebooted some old formats but threw money at them so the production values were on par with the US. Seems seven is adopting the opposite strategy.
Yes, doing things on the cheap rarely works in television and this will probably end up costing Seven more than throwing the cash at it a decent revival needs.
Pre-recording it is just one of the dumbest ideas Iâve ever heard. Yes, some people might not like the idea of a more âgameplayâ orientated show but that format is a proven success in the US and Canada (and also combined with the public vote elsewhere). However part of that success is the format airs live and they still have multiple live feeds. That means viewers are still engaged with the show, even without the voting.
Lol so while Ten revives shows like DWTS and put proper money and production values behind it, Seven think their approach of âcontent based networkâ mean picking up old formats and cutting corners to make them cheap and nasty.
If they think that will resonate with viewers then is this very concerning.
