What is going to happen to Deal or No Deal if the 7pm slot is filled?

Doubt it. Will probably be 7pm Sundays and 7.30 M-Friday

So to be 6 weeks I’m guessing it will run until 21st December.

I just don’t know if it will rate to it’s potential this late in the year. It feels like they are rushing to get it on air too. It would have been better to kick off 2026 with it IMO.

Couldn’t agree more. I’m concerned too. It’s too late. The weather is starting to be nice now, DST just started in some states meaning it’ll be dark later, holiday mode usually starts around then. I think they should have waited until next year. I hope if this season flops that it doesn’t stop them giving it another go in a more appropriate timeslot.

I am guessing it will only be 4 weeks as the rollercoaster next to the house is set to reopen December 13th.

A 4 week season feels extremely short, especially considering how heavily the promos are leaning into old school vibes/format. If it really is just 4 weeks, then the marketing has been a bit misleading.

I’ve always supported the idea of a shorter season, but I didn’t expect that to be less than six weeks (which is the perfect length in UK IMO). This definitely feels like they’re cramming it in this year at the wrong time when it probably would’ve worked better next year.

Big Brother should be launching on Monday 26 October. Waiting weeks after TAR finishes is just nonsensical scheduling by 10.

It is still on for at least 19 and 20 October and not even sure if that is the finale. So at the very least there will be a two week gap, but could be less

There are 15 legs this season, so finale should be Oct 20.

It’s likely to be around 4 weeks from the various dates we’ve seen in contracts and when Dreamworld open the ride next to house again. Far too short and it should absolutely have been held back until 2026. A four week show just feels half hearted and as much as they’re relying on going back to the original format scheduling it at the time of year where it really flopped for Seven two years ago doesn’t seem sensible.

I was wondering - would they do a Highlights or BTS special?

TAR is set to end in 2 weeks (15 ep season) and with BB starting on the 9th, there will be two weeks where 10 have a gap in a flagship show.

I think something like a highlight special (highlighting big moments from OG seasons) or a BTS special (casting, building the house, ect) could be a way to bridge the gap and keep the hype train going for BB.

Is the shorter season money related or because 7 had the rights for longer so they didn’t have the time ?

I heard 4 weeks then I have heard 6 weeks.

I would say because 7 had the holdback until July, they couldn’t even start casting until then.

The only credible thing I have heard is that the rights returned to 10 on a certain date after the Network Seven holdback expired. 10 were not allowed to do any pre-production tasks before this, but jumped the gun anyway, which triggered a legal letter from Seven’s lawyers. I believe if it weren’t for the holdback, we would have gotten a longer season this year.

Also, in terms of the season length, Dreamworld has closed off the neighbouring ride, the Gold Coaster, until either the 11th or 13th December, I’ve heard. So that suggests a 4-week season, anecdotally.
