Not really. Like I said there was more to Uncut than sexual antics. It wasn’t exploitative, it wasn’t prostitution and when it did cross a line there were reprimands.
The only time Big Brother was ever grubby was when they fed extra alcohol into the house in order to get things started and gave way too much to some housemates like Christy though that was completely unrelated to Uncut.

You’re right but it’s still exploitative in the way that all sex work is where if the workers had options and opportunities in life they wouldn’t have to resort to sex work to begin with and do degrading things which most of them would rather not be doing. I do agree at least they have taken back some power and control in which they were mercilessly used and exploited and taken a fairer amount of money but I still can’t see Onlyfans as this all empowering platform. People are still profiteering from women and men selling their bodies and predators are still out there.

I was in the live chat on Youtubr regarding Celeb Bb the mod said they do not have the clearance to stream Celeb Bb though from limited memory as a teen i don’t remember it being that interesting.
Would they have to pay the celebs resuduals if they stream it or more so the permission of whether the celebs want their faces showing on Youtube?
I stumbled across on Youtube.. a video in between Season 1 and 2 of how they got the housemates in Season 2.. was interesting how back then people sent in nude video tapes of themself trying to be funny to get noticed !

Final thing.. as much as i like the idea of the original show ..i do wonder if casting ordinary people will rate and will be interesting enough content for younger viewers as now we are more connected than ever on social media in eg Facebook groups ..and also the mafs type drama some people expect.
I guess Ten has nothing to lose changing the format.. it will draw in the people who grew up with it i guess and their families.
I think the 9 seasons are recent enough that people can remember watching them in HD, the real charm about 10 republishing all the old episodes of BB is that the fanbase have relied heavily on bootleg youtube channels with a 240p resolution.
I think it could work for a season or two (mostly for nostalgia), but I’m unsure if it can work for a long run.
Hell we saw that with the original run, where the first 3/4 seasons looked and felt more genuine as a social experiment (even twists were designed to see social changes and reaction in the group - ie, the split house or the secret million dollar prize).
Later seasons slowly were more twisty (secret twins (a twist borrowed from the US version), a house full of “young sexy” housemates, secret relationships, OTT people who felt more like cartoon characters then genuine people, ect).
The third season is being streamed on Youtube over 2 weekends . I was curious as to why , Google search reveals there were 34 more episodes in Season 3 than Season 2.
