Not really a Mike Goldman fan but he was good on this show. The voice of Uplate and Friday night games.
with the nostalgia branding they have for BB a 6pm timeslot will kill it - older people are still getting home from work, cooking dinner, etc.
7:30 is a much better timeslot. kids are settling down for the night (or in bed,) dinner dishes are in the dishwasher and people are winding down for the night.
10 does have three multichannels that can carry Big Brother content. There could be 7.30pm content on the main channel and any amount of additional on a multichannel - 6pm 30 minutes show, late night etc

Could they use 10Shake/Nickeloden for BB content rather than running nick@nite or whatever is on?
Big Brother would surely rate better than whatever is on there now.

More importantly, what numbers will be considered a success?
If The Block and MAFās can do a mill, you would hope for 700-800k during the week and Sundays 1 mill but likely to be up against The Block so where will the audience come from??

It will be a noisy environment with traffic at nearby Citylink. Plus other movie and TV productions could take place at Docklands in the same period.
Iāve heard concerns about the weather as well.
Just build a glass roof over the back yard and pool and it can be heated, think of Chaddy Shopping centre roof.
They could perhaps convert the flawed empty District Dockland Shopping centre, there is an outdoor area in front of the Melbourne Wheel that could be made into stadium seating (or even do stand up like they do in the UK). A perfect way to reinvigorate this dive of an area and provide a location with easy access and an event style event for the loyal Melbourne tv audience.
The weather shouldnāt be a make-or-break factor. The UK have done it fine over colder months and usually put a spa in the backyard. Plus itās not like itās going to be the middle of winter. If itās going to start late September/early October into late November/early December then they still should get some pretty decent weather especially in the back half of the season. Possibly another reason that it is penned for Q4 if Melbourne is the location.

If they really want to film BB at Docklands next year, the Costco building at Footscray Road could be available, with the store moving to Melbourneās western suburbs in coming months, leaving the building vacant.

The various sites can put in tenders and the best value gets the show,
Iām %99 sure that any multi channel broadcasting will be done via 10play, like they have done in the states on Pluto where they had 4 channels plus a multiview channel
Thatās actually a really good point. The Costco warehouse would be perfect for the house

I agree. And I donāt think it will be overly produced. It would be bloody expensive to man and produce a show on 10 Peach (or whatever they call themselves now). I assume it will be just a feed to one key room.
