Who is actually watching this? I can’t bring myself to do it. And that’s just based off the ad’s.
A friend in need
Super strategist Tim saves bestie Drew from eviction
Tonight on Big Brother, Sam and Drew’s simmering flirtation turned into a full blown love affair, sealed with their first kiss. Later that night, romance bubbled away in the spa between Joel and Aleisha.
With 17 people in the house sharing limited rations, frustrations started bubbling beneath the surface, but Big Brother had a plan.
In tonight’s house task, housemates vented their inner angst, rage and frustration in return for food. Dave was the first to vent, screaming at top of his lungs, and was showered with coffee beans. Other housemates followed the suit, resulting in a much calmer, sharing and caring household.
The three nominated housemates faced off in a gut-wrenching second chance challenge to win safety from eviction. Layla swept an emotional win, leaving Mel and Drew on the chopping board.
During the eviction ceremony, royalty Reggie and Tim were successful in convincing the housemates to keep Drew in the game. Mel became the second housemate to leave the house, much to the newbies’ dismay.
“I believe what happened in that eviction is Drew shined his genuine qualities through. I know I was going against an O.G. that had Tim create a campaign for him. Tim’s a powerful man,” said Mel.
Next week on Big Brother : the housemates play dirty as they battle it out to stay on top of the pecking order and Drew and Sam’s romance heats up. But when Drew’s ex-flame enters the house, will it spark the biggest love triangle in Big Brother history?
Is this reality or a scripted drama?
Tonight really infuriated me when Gabbie couldn’t decide between Drew and Mel because she’s “so close to Drew”. Since when? We’ve not even seen them talk.
We are missing these key relationships form due to this messed up format!
Dear Tully, Ch 7 makes the promos, not Big Brother.
Tully’s love triangle
Sparks fly as Big Brother gets a new Head of House
Tonight on Big Brother , love and war made its way to the menu starting with Sam’s birthday lunch.
Royalty Reggie whipped up fish and chips for Drew and Sam as they enjoyed an intimate lunch date in the treehouse, but just as their romance had started heating up, another surprise guest turned the house on its head.
Drew’s ex-girlfriend Tully, the other half of Big Brother’s most famous fling, entered as the first-ever Head of House: possessing exclusive privileges, unprecedented power and safety from eviction for an entire week.
Big Brother also stepped up the game by announcing the electrifying Battle Week, with housemates made to fight it out for an all-you-can-eat deluxe Italian feast, while the losers ate canned spaghetti.
At the nominations challenge, the housemates competed in teams. With the newbies and royalty mixed together, the winning team made the difficult decision to nominate Layla, Johnson and Dave for eviction.
With the odds stacked against him, super-fan Johnson made a desperate deal with Tim to stay in the game.
At an emotional eviction ceremony, Johnson’s prayers were answered. Layla realised it was time to pass the baton onto Johnson and let him enjoy his first experience in the house, as the housemates farewelled the first Big Brother royalty.
“There’s someone in here that needs to be in here. I just saw his inner child and that made me nostalgic, that used to be me. I wanted to come in Big Brother ’s house since I was 11,” said Layla.
Tomorrow night on Big Brother : housemates are in the firing line as Battle Week brings them to their knees while Drew and Sam’s budding romance causes long-time frenemies into an unholy alliance, will the dream team become a nightmare?
I haven’t got around to watching this yet . I was on 7Plus on the Apple TV device last night around 9pm and it had a tile saying Big Brother was live now (the FTA live stream or whatever it is called ) . False advertising
I have watched all BB’s even the new ones but VIP was so bad I can’t remember a single person. This looks average .
Why can’t we go back to the original format surely it would rate better. Every reality show now on 7 particularly or 9 has to be manufactured drama wheras normal everyd day conversations won’t draw people in ?
I think the main reason they would give is a lack of content for each day and the tight turnaround. Also the unpredictable quality of each day (but a well produced series doesn’t have this issue as Big Brother would poke and prod the housemates on boring days).
Back when there were daily shows the normal episode was only 24 minutes long (or so). With the current pre-recorded setup they can show multiple days each night and make each episode 70 minutes long.
I agree that it’s not working, and the old format would also probably still work. But 7 might not want to have a half-hour 7:30 show followed by another reality show at 8pm. They could be more creative (make episodes on a few days of delay, including days where there is no show like Thursday-Sunday), but that would require actual tinkering with the format. Right now they aren’t even trying to make the show better.
Royalty rules
Newbies crumble as Tim pulls off another masterstroke
Tonight, Big Brother went on the attack as Battle Week had the housemates crumbling.
The housemates also competed in their very first shopping task, where Reggie proved to be the most valuable player, earning half of the total shopping budget of $180.
Sam and Drew’s steamy romance had Tully fuming and Aleisha questioning Joel’s intentions toward her; while Tully and Tim’s explosive love-hate relationship had yet another blow up.
In a gripping challenge, the housemates were paired and Tully and Joel held on to win safety from the next eviction, leaving all other housemates in a nominations battle.
After Layla’s eviction, the newbies geared up to take another royalty down. Before the nominations were revealed, Tully used her Head of House power to save Trevor, leaving newbies Lara, Lulu and Jaycee in the line of fire.
With the royalty confirming control, the newbies were left shocked, while Tim gloated about pulling off another mastermind manipulation.
“That was magnificent. There’s not a single original housemate nominated. That was really easy done,” said Tim.
Tomorrow night: Big Brother plays dirty during a panic room task, while sweethearts Josh and Aleisha turn on each other. In a fight for survival, Lara and Lulu team up to take down Jaycee in the second chance challenge. Will he overcome the odds or bite the dust?
Who wrote this? Josh is mentioned for tomorrow episode. Haha. He is long gone
No his not…
OGs move in for the kill
Lara leaves Big Brother’s house declaring victory
Tonight, Big Brother unveiled his Panic Room and in the first task, newbie Taras and royalty Dave were locked in a head-to-head battle. Taras lost and faced a hellish punishment with seven other housemates chosen by winner Dave.
Joel and Aleisha’s connection cracked and Joel’s rejection broke Aleisha’s heart. Their break-up became the talk of the house, but when Joel came crawling back, they went from off again to on again.
In the second chance challenge, Lulu and Lara joined forces against Jaycee, but he staged a strong comeback, saving himself from eviction.
The alliances were back on centre stage, with the Big Brother royalty moving to save Lulu and the newbies determined to protect Lara. After an incredible group pitch, Lara started to sway the votes, including Dave’s, who went rogue from his group, but ultimately she didn’t have enough votes to avoid eviction.
“I think they made a bit of mistake,” Lara said. “But today I made myself proud. I proved that women in their 50s can do all that sort of stuff. I love that I got voted out for being a fierce competitor. I think that is victory for me. I always thought I had a bit of powerhouse in me.”
Next week: Big Brother cranks up the fun with Party Week, full of shocking surprises. But when the party bubble bursts, lies are exposed as the biggest scandal to ever hit the house explodes in an epic cage fight.
Josh went last week…
Poor form by Rob McKnight to spoil the eviction result on Twitter prior to Seven airing the full episode.
It was an accident. It was an automatically scheduled tweet that was programmed to be posted when the show finished which the guide said was 9:00pm but it actually went over that tonight.
Sorry lol I’m thinking of Joel
The J-Crew crumbles
Royalty Estelle’s big, bold move sends Joel home
Tonight on Big Brother, Party Week kicked off with a bang. Drew and Gabbie successfully completed their secret mission and the entire house was rewarded with a KFC feast.
Drew made Joel an indecent proposal to put each other’s girlfriends up for eviction, but Joel stayed loyal to Aleisha and told her about Drew’s bizarre plan.
During the first ever Head of House vote, Drew had the deciding vote. In a shock move, he turned his back on the royalty to elect newbie Aleisha as Head of House, leaving the original housemates stunned by his betrayal.
In a gruelling nominations challenge, Estelle outlasted challenge beast Joel to claim an inspiring win. With the power to nominate three housemates for eviction, Estelle made a big move by nominating every member of the J-Crew: Jaycee, Joel and Johnson.
“This is a strategy to protect my [original] housemates at any cost,” Estelle said. “I knew that if I didn’t pull through it would have been three of us up there.”
With time running out, Joel and Aleisha finally locked lips. Then, at a heartbreaking eviction ceremony, the two lovers were torn apart as Joel was shown the door.
Haven’t yet seen this season. So apart from the old “favourites” did the way the show is structured change like they hinted at last year?
I thought I read it might be different … so it seems same type of show just a few familiar faces…
Wasn’t there a politician in 2005 who made a complaint and that is why Big Brother Uncut disappeared off screens?
This season they have made a few changes to the format. The first is the return of house nominations. For one eviction cycle per broadcast week, the housemates each nominate one housemate for eviction, and the three with the most votes go against another house vote. There is now also a Head of House who receives immunity from nominations for a week. This how it appears at current in terms of episode airing:
- Monday: Head of House Vote / Nominations Challenge - One winner nominates 3 for Eviction / Eviction
- Tuesday: Immunity Challenge - One winner gets immunity from nomination / House Nominations (All housemates nominate one for Eviction) NO EVICTION
- Wednesday: Second Chance Challenge (3 nominated housemates compete to be saved from Eviction) / Eviction
Note that the House Nomination cycle is now split over two episodes.
Also in terms of the uncut program being axed, SMH printed an article in 2006 from AAP that says that government MPs at the time complained about the “gratuitous language and displays of sexuality” on the program. Source: Big Brother adult show axed
And the moment I think I have the format figured out, we get a Tuesday episode with a Nominations Challenge as if it were Monday I thought that might mean we get a Thursday episode, but EPG disagrees.
Never mind, it is as above and Big Brother just used the wrong name on the challenge. Nomination vs Immunity.
