Big Brother

I thought this forum was just about big brother australia lol

Big Brother VIP about to screen on channel E4 in the UK as Celebrity Big Brother Australia

Poor season to pick but their trailer shows more creativity than the Aussie producers have in three seasons on Seven.

The two civilian series have also now been picked up in the US to air on Paramount+.

Where did you see a trailer?

Seven’s Director of Scheduling, Brook Hall, has told TV Tonight that Big Brother VIP (which was renewed at the upfronts in October last year) is not proceeding in 2022. He also hints at format changes to the physical challenges for season 14 of BB.

Be bold 7, go live and revive friday night live (on another night due to the footy).

Was expected. The season last November didn’t rate well at all.

Format definitely need an overhaul. I think the prerecorded format still has life in it, but the execution need to improve.

Less obvious producer interference, just let the game play out. Less strat chat and More opportunity to get to know the housemates personality. Sonia is not needed, her small role can be done by big brother, it might even improve the sense that they are completely cut off from the outside world.

One specific peeve of mine is the amount of twists that involve others listening in to the dairy room. The diary room should be sacred, where the housemates feel free to speak their minds without the paranoia of other housemates listening in.

Absolutely. The diary room is the viewers only way to know what the housemates are actually thinking. Any interference with that he jeopardises any authenticity that may remain.

It also removes the housemates ability to get something off their chest which can lead to many issues, including mental health. It’s also a breach of their human rights to have a safe space.

Have the contestants of Big Brother actually talk to each other, and not do silly challenges. Like the good old days :stuck_out_tongue:

I think they do talk to each other it’s just edited out to a certain format.

A big bother.

BB VIP is currently airing on E4 in the UK.
Looking through the #CBBAus on Twitter shows The format is jarring to viewers, but quite a few people are enjoying it.

Not surprised BB VIP got axed just at the timing. It never should have gotten a second season renewal given the poor ratings and the price tags for people like Caitlyn.

I did think 7 would go ahead regardless of poor ratings just to save face. I guess they finally realised they can’t have a schedule complete with under performing reality shows.

The Voice: Generations flopping must have really hit them hard.

I don’t think Voice Generations flopped, it probably did underperform compared to what they wanted but it wasn’t a flop. I doubt they were expecting 1mill+ for generations

After flopping in Australia, BB VIP has been pulled from UK screens after only 4 episodes and replaced with Junior Bake Off.

Yay that’s great news. Deserves to be burned and never seen again.

Where was it screened in the UK?

E4 (Channel 4’s digital channel) as DDN posted above.
The remaining episodes will be made available weeknightly on Channel 4’s catch-up service All 4 (episode 5 was uploaded on Thursday night UK time).

Wasn’t there meant to be a version that included former housemates? Or were they in the 2021 version and I missed it?
