So they completely change the Big Brother format to appeal to new audiencesā¦ then go down the path of bringing back old contestants from the original era?
Iām not sure that this is going to work or if anyone cares about these people anymore.

I will only watch BB if they go back to the original format. With 7 having the BBL and AFL, they donāt have a need to fill a 90 day block like they used to, so a summer or winter series doesnāt really work.
(I would love a Summer series that starts in early Nov and runs through to end of Feb).
I was ready to give up on this format because of how boring and derivitive it is but the return of old contestants will definitely entice me to watch unlike this years Big Brother VIP which I have absolutely no interest in.

All of the clips were from the Channel 10 era. I doubt anyone from the Channel 9 run was memorable enough to bring back.

As annoying as Tim was, he was media savvy enough to know what the viewers wanted to see. I loved watching his antics despite him being annoying.

You would hope if they bring back old housemates they show more interaction between the housemates in the daily shows rather than the stupid games they have to play every show.

Highly doubt it, Big Brother has the same main producer as Survivor.

I read that Big Brother Canada is coming to 7Plusā¦ do they follow the same format as in Australia?
I think the current format of BB Australia is very similar to BB Canada, like housemate nomination and eviction voting.
Yes, they follow the US format. Except unlike in ours where the public decides the winner, the eliminated contestants do instead.
