Big Brother has made a massive difference to 10’s ratings results this week and even given some drop off continuing, it looks like it is a certainty to be coming back as part of the 3 year deal potentially for a longer season and in a different part of the year.
It is the key demos that are really working for 10. Better than any of its recent reality shows. Also with a big improvement has been in the BVOD audience. Previous to this week the BVOD share for 10 would always be much lower than the broadcast share and thus drag down the total people network share. However, yesterday for example, the BOVD share (15.6%) was higher than the broadcast TV share (14.9%) and actually pulled up total TV 10’s share.
Looking at 10’s broadcast TV share so far this week the network is currently running second just slightly behind Nine in 25-54 and leading in 16-39 in the metro markets (only place I have full info). Imagine how much better that could be with a better 6pm program.
From 10:
Yesterday
- #1 in its timeslot in 25 to 54s (33.3%) and 16 to 39s (40.9%).
