Better Homes and Gardens

I think Seven removed a segment that Pete Evans was meant to do on Fridays episode. In the episode description it said Pete was doing a spin on take away food, however, he and the segment failed to appear.

That’s because of Pete’s departure from Seven with the expiry of his contract.

I realise that. I’m making the point that they’ve removed him from the program which was already filmed.

Must’ve been told to go back to the editing suite and pad the ep out with extra footage that was cut? That or longer ad breaks? Good pick up, David.

Btw what’s the bet Gary Mehigan and/or Matt Preston will now appear on BH&G to replace Pete, especially if POO tanks?

I’d say even if Plate of Origin doesn’t do very well for the network, you can guarantee that either/or will feature in an episode for some cross promotion for the show.

It was mentioned at the start of tonight’s episode (August 7) that the show’s production office moved within Seven’s Eveleigh building to be right next to Home and Away’s a couple of months ago.

This Friday’s season finale was filmed in Balmoral in country NSW (which saw 18 houses destroyed in last summer’s bushfires) and Prahran in inner Melbourne.

Hopefully next year the whole cast will be together again for the Christmas special.

Tara Dennis has announced today that she’s leaving BH&G to spend more time with her family and to work on her growing business. She’ll still be seen on air during the first part of 2021 and the show will announce a replacement soon.

Johanna Griggs has also posted on Instagram, congratulating Tara on her wonderful TV career and revealing Tara told the team in late 2020 that she was leaving BH&G. Joh said the team would take their time finding a replacement for Tara, and urged followers to visit Tara’s stores when in Sydney.

Live the Better life

Australia’s #1 lifestyle show is back and even Better than ever.

Host Johanna Griggs and the Better Homes and Gardens team have scoured Australia for the tips, tricks and inspiration guaranteed to make life the best it can be.

Last year brought a fresh new look and feel for the much-loved program, including new presenters to help a growing number of home-bound Australians get into DIY, cooking, technology, health and home improvement.

“With so many people spending more time at home, by choice or by circumstance, Australians have let us know they are craving more details of projects that they can attempt themselves. They want quick fixes, smart ideas and a great end product. Better Homes and Gardens has it all,” says Johanna Griggs.

Fast forward to 2021, Johanna Griggs, Adam Dovile (DIY), Charlie Albone (Landscaping), Dr Harry Cooper (Vet), Graham Ross (Gardening), Tara Dennis (Decorating and Design), “Fast Ed” Halmagyi (Chef), Karen Martini (Chef), Pete Colquhoun (Architect), Sam Wood (Health and Fitness), Melissa King (Gardening) and James Tobin (Tech and Motoring) are ready and raring to continue to inspire the nation to live a Better life.

The brand new Better Homes and Gardens starts next Friday on Channel 7.

Did Seven air the first half an hour on the main channel in Melbourne, then switch to 7Two (because of the AFLW), while its fully shown in Adelaide on 7Two? Sydney, Brisbane and Perth aired it in full on seven?

Yes, first 30 mins on main then the rest on 7Two.
