Beijing Winter Olympics Coverage

I hope the commentary isn’t as offensive as it was during the Tokyo opening ceremony

Well without Griggs (which is kinda sad in a way considering she was a great Olympics presenter until last year’s commentary for Tokyo) and Hamish we could be in for better commentary this time round.

I didn’t really get the comment then by Brendan “the stadium that Usain Bolt built?” Sorry?

Good grief.

Does anyone know if someone is paid to design these studios? And if so, how much? Would it be decent pay? Thinking I might try and get the job one day.

The coverage just seems cheap and nasty. There’s no vibe and it’s like they’re just phoning it in.

This obsession with no proper set and no opening titles just feels tacky.

Seven did a better job in 1998 and 2002 than they’re doing now.

Hope they stay on time this time and not go delayed. It’s already late as it is, we don’t need it running more behind. I want to get to bed

Great to be in Wa:crazy_face::crazy_face:

Why the fuck are they shoving ads into this ceremony?

After the ad break, the live bug disappeared.

Seriously, Seven !!!

(edit: was there a live watermark before it?)

Yep we are on about a 5 or 10 minute delay. NZ and everyone else are showing live. They do this every time ! Was funny when Hame crossed to Richo and it was already starting in the background

Is the Chinese President meant to give a speech at this thing?

I wasn’t paying attention prior to the ad break, so thanks for clarifying.

We on a 5-10 minute delay? Really? Poor form then.

Love how they just cut off the anthem to show a Harvey Norman ad.

If 7 really wants to show ads, can’t they just do a picture-in-picture style ad?

Is there any place to watch it live? Even on 7+ app
