Compilation of all the themes which were played on Friday
âWe canât just ask the questions, we have to question the answersâ
Thatâs such a good line.
Lucy Hockings has been presenting the One OâClock News all this week. If Iâm not mistaken, this is the first time a Kiwi has ever presented a main BBC One bulletin.
Without trying to invite the Daily Mail to write an article about accents itâs interesting to hear a slight New Zealand twinge in with the British accent.
Was just going to say that, very interesting mix of dialects there.
Almost sounds a bit Aussie at times!
Seems like the âtemporary demergerâ has begun with UK taking some separate programming from the world feed.
hopefully this temporary arrangement quietly becomes permanent
Blink twice if youâre being held at gunpoint
Good to see her back.
Overrated return imo guys. People acting like sheâs the greatest person to ever read an autocue⌠also she gives off vibes of being the best thing since sliced bread.
Completely disagree, Iâm afraid, mate⌠she is very warm and friendly, which is more than can be said for some of the robots who have filled in over the last year. She has a really big following on socials, and I think that is because she has a nice way about her. Also sheâs not afraid to laugh (though that can sometimes be to her detrimentâŚ)
All of the benched ladies brought their own sense of class and polish to their presentation. Absolutely agree itâs great to have these trusted faces back on board compared to some of the robotic fill ins weâve seen over the last year. Some have been better than others but itâs great to have some real professionals back.
It was stupid of the BBC to try and get rid of them in the first place - but then logic and reason have always been foreign concepts to BBC managers. Anyway, theyâre back now, and not before time!
So is anyone across whatâs going on with bbc news at the moment. Have they split the channel again to world and Uk? I want to watch the Uk version.
during the day (in UK time) the UK feed splits to cover the general election campaining and analysis
World feed stays as per nomal
