I was expecting two seasons a year, but now it looks like Survivor and Amazing Race are flipping schedules.

I’d love two seasons but I think it would exhaust the brand too quickly. Less is more.

Looking forward to this different theme for the local version. And it’s great to have it back to top the year. Should get a good promotional push during I’m a Celeb.

I absolutely Loathe the Blood Vs Water theme. Totally sucks.

I want to watch individuals play, I do not want to watch domestic squabbles (The Jon/Jaclyn mess) or see players give up their rewards to their loved ones (Missy giving her spoilt princess daughter extra rice and giving up rewards).

Also why must the Australian version always be a Versus? Why can’t we just have some normal tribes and heaven forbid they mix the format up by having a three or four tribe season.

Seeing some of the rumoured returning players does not inspire me either, especially as they were really big misses on their first time out there.

Yes, most of the ones I’ve seen I simply don’t remember.

Getting a bit tiresome for Aussie shows to rely on their alumni too - seem to be trading on nostalgia rather than the strength of the formats.

Isn’t it mostly D-grade celebs over returning contestants? Or have more names been leaked?

Is mullet Johnny back?

According to today’s Herald Sun, personal trainer Jay Bruno (who recently split from Home and Away actress Sam Frost) is competing in the upcoming Blood v Water season, currently filming outside Charters Towers.

I’m just not as excited for this. I feel blood vs water should have been saved for returning contestants.

Australia is going to be suffering “Celeb” reality show fatigue well and truly by the time that this comes around. There have been so many this past year. We still have Celeb MasterChef going, Lego Masters Celeb Christmas specials soon, then start of next year I’m a celeb and maybe Dancing with the Stars All Stars. I’m sure there’s others too. It’s just so unecessary to do this on Survivor when a standard cast season did so well this year and was a decent season too.

Will there be 2 different Australian Survivor seasons airing in 2022, starting approx Feb and later in the year around July or August, or is there only going to be the one season early in the year?

Likely air date maybe the day after Aus Open final, so Monday Jan 31? Or a week later?

I hope they can return to Fiji soon, like the USA version has, for the seasons after Blood v Water.

Just one season.

thanks for that, greatly appreciated!

Survivor will air straight after I’m A Celeb. Will likely premiere the day after the AO final, Jan 31st.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they end up doing two seasons next year even though it’s not confirmed.
