I hate the passing of the idol. That really annoys me

3 immunity tonight snd 1 person votes if they win the fire making challenge. Why do they do this shit?

Watching on delayed fetch recording……channel 10 keeps missing the fittest bits when returning to the program from ads….have no idea what the challenge was

Way too much producer influence tonight. Let it go natural. It’s much more entertaining. I hated tonight.

I knew the second that they did this that the person wasn’t going home.

Redemption Rock? Lame lame lame. It feels like they just make up some of these things as they go.

Have to stretch the season out to accommodate the 3 episodes a week. Ridiculous

yeah it would be a bit unfair if it wasn’t a combined vote. I do wonder was this another attempt to save George again but it didn’t go to plan again or maybe Hayley? Imagine if Cara was picked again people would scream unfair!

Well I assume it’s the exile beach scenario that’s been played in the previous 5 seasons.

Took me a while to catch up post-Olympics and have to echo the comments earlier about way to many idols and advantages whilst tonight was the culmination of producers shitting over the format and ruining things with their twists. And when that twist doesn’t work, throw in another twist at tribal to try and give the expert survivalist the guarantees vote with a firemaking challenge against a prison officer and vegan. And when that fails throw in a twist so the evictee isn’ted evicted.

Just feels that everytime the vote might get interesting either an idol or a twist prevents it playing out naturally. It’s killing this season - really struggling to engage with it the way I have with previous seasons.

Last night’s episode had too many twists. Only the three immunity winners allowed to vote in the tribal council should have been enough.

Tribal is on at 8:20 and the episode finishes at 9 so the person voted out clearly will have to compete with Bayden to get back into the game or it will be some other twist.

It finished by 8.40.

Great Tribal tonight. I think Hayley is becoming one of my fave players ever on Aus Survivor. She’s such a strong strategic player that’s exciting to watch. For once I’m glad of a Redemption twist. The editing is clearly building up for her comeback and revenge.

Yeh it’s getting good now with the way they’ve set her up.

It’s sad that Chelsea had to withdraw due to medical reasons and didn’t get a chance to say goodbye to fellow castaways. The next time we will see her will be at the finale and reunion in September.

It was at the end of the episode. She was medevaced

Lol. Chris? Did you watch tonight? Both of those things were revealed. Hayleys back (Baden dropped after 20 mins) and Chelsea’s gone home. Jono came into camp.

Oh crap I turned off after Tribal. Thought that was the end after she went to redemption.

It went for another 20 minutes after Tribal.

I feel bad. I ruined the ending for you. I’m sorry :disappointed:

Chelsea wrote a long post on her Instagram tonight about her pulling out of the show.

Unfortunately my time on @survivorau has come to an end, but not the way it should have.

Leading up to my last week, my weight was dropping quiet rapidly and I could feel my body was almost shutting down because of it. On the morning of day 27 I started having extreme headaches and regular dizzy spells. After the last tribal council I was taken by ambulance to the hospital to get some blood tests done. My body was so dehydrated which made it impossible for the nurse to take blood so I was then put on 2x 6 hour IV drips overnight. After doing some more tests I was diagnosed with an inner ear infection (Labyrinthitis) which was effecting my balance quiet significantly and on top of that obviously very dehydrated.

After 20 hours in hospital the nurses weren’t confident in my condition and wanted me to stay another night on the IV again but I knew if I stayed, I would be out of the game. Eventually I was discharged from the hospital but soon after the survivor medics decided to pull me from the game and to be honest I didn’t want to put my body through it anymore either. I have big plans in my MMA career in the future and that was at the forefront of my mind. It’s an absolute devastating way to leave the game but health comes before anything.

On the other note, AUSTRALIAN SURVIVOR. WOW. I have done a lot of hard shit in my life but this one tops it. I did things I didn’t think I could ever do. I.E spend 5 weeks sleeping in dirt, no showers, no contact to home, descaling a fish (yuck never again)

Survivor came at a very important time in my life. Straight after my contender series fight in Vegas I was given this opportunity and grabbed it by the horns and just ran with it. I needed a distraction from the hardest loss I had just endured and I needed to find myself again. Survivor for me was never about the money or winning. It was for me to find myself again and realise who the fk I am and what I am truely capable of.

Thank you to everyone for the support through this phase in my life. Love you all

According to The Courier-Mail, Chelsea lost 8kg during her 27-day at Survivor.

What the hell were they thinking with the editing tonight. I’m sure half of their viewers missed the part after the tribal council tonight
