Australian Survivor

George is George Mladenov, a former staffer to NSW Labor state MP Tania Mihailuk.

MMA fighter Chelsea Hackett (seen in the second YouTube clip above) confirmed on her Instagram last night she took part on the show.

Thanks for that, July 18 is a few weeks earlier than I expected.

Survivor Australia could be finishing airing right around the time Survivor 41 starts so we get seasons back to back mid July to mid December

ten have planned this year pretty badly, they have i’m a celeb in non-ratings to build momentum, then they have very little content to start the year, that was an opportunity when 7 were not competitive. then they effectively had a 6 week easter non-ratings period with filler content. but now they have survivor up against the olympics?

Someone at ten needs to invest in a calendar, and get a strategy.

It seems the delayed Australian Open and then later finish for MAFS stuffed up their plans. MasterChef was originally scheduled to start on Easter Monday, but was delayed to avoid MAFS.

I’m guessing they didn’t have the budget to quickly commission a filler program like Seven did (DWTS).

I think some people seem to forget covid played havoc with tv production at the end of last year. I do think 10 were a bit lazy not to air much over that Easter period but I don’t recall it being 6 weeks. I believe MasterChef aired a lot earlier than previous years. And if I recall they pushed MasterChef back only because of how well married was doing.

10 has always had the strategy of airing formats against sport events. So it wouldn’t make sense to hold back survivor.

Another sneak peek shown tonight during MasterChef.

Only 2 Victorians……that’s going to hurt ratings……

I recognise retired cyclist Baden Cooke from the Brains tribe. He told Herald Sun he was encouraged to compete on Survivor by his good friend, former rugby league and union player Mat Rogers.

Do people really watch it for that? I certainly don’t pick my fav based on the state they’re from.

Yes. It’s not a state vs state type of show.
