Australian Survivor

I think some see conspiracies where none exist  There are so many players that are popular and potentially in danger than when virtually anyone finds an idol or advantage it could be seen as rigged. Not sure how the producers also know for example which tribe is going to win a reward challenge in advance so one member might find a clue or which tribe will be going to tribal council each episode.

Sometime editing makes it look like the contestants are in trouble because they found an idol - bit like David the other week when he wasn’t even in the slightest trouble.

Jacqui has been diagnosed with a tumour in her head. She told News Corp that she has a 3 mm deep melanoma between her scalp and skull and will undergo surgery to have it removed. She beat stage four melanoma on her back in 2017.

so the bootlist was wrong on the last one. What’s good is it’s gonna be a surprise from now on. I still can’t believe Zack is there.

Promo for Monday

I hope the Australian version does the edge of extinction twist the US version is doing at the moment.

Another stupid, irelevent twist. Hate it.

How much are producers paying the contestants not to vote for David? They are so stupid. They know he has an idol. Flush the fucker out.

I don’t mind this twist. But it’s clearly just a way to extend the show.

They really need to try and do edge of extinction next season like the US. It was automatically give them an easy way to extend the series and bring contestants back into the game rather than these twists. It will also provide more content rather than watching them on their reward for 20 minutes. I don’t really care about Brooke biting into corn to stop herself crying.

I think the producers introduced the twist to try to force David to use one of his idols but it failed at the first hurdle.

It was otherwise a sad episode tonight.

Sadly Lee’s mother passed away just he was about to leave the Fiji hotel.
Later, Lee told News Corp in a separate interview:

This was so sudden, she was gone within an hour of the stroke happening.

Tonight’s show included a photo of mother and son at the end as a tribute.

I don’t mind the concept, but the implementation so far this season in the US is so boring. Last week, one third of the episode was taken up on edge of extinction coverage. I get the feeling that a big part of this is to reduce production costs, as so far there has only been one challenge per episode, so no reward challenges have to be built. It’s a shame, because, a lot of important developments have happened at rewards challenges in past seasons. It would have less impact on the Australian version, though as the episode length is longer.
