Then why use his real name on the show?
Sounds like a deliberate tactic to me.

Was up to No.3 yesterday and still at No.4 today.
That is on the iTunes sales chart which only accounts for 1% of the music chart now, last I saw you needed less than 100 sales to make the Top 10 of that. The song hasn’t reached the daily charts of Spotify or Apple Music streaming charts which is a shame.
But not unexpected.
Kyle just announced on his radio show that Idol will be back for another season.
Hopefully the right person will win next season.
To achieve what?
Frankly your post about Royston seem to have racism undertones which are not acceptable.
We get that you don’t agree with the result, but the winner is often controversial and not the person who goes on to be more successful. It’s been that way for 20 years. But continuing to harp on about just kills to the discussion mood for everyone.
Harry Connick Jr. has just announced he and his band will tour Australia this December (the first in 10 years), so the timing is perfect.
I just find interesting he went by his real name the whole season and was so proud of his indigenous heritage and community but when he actually wins and releases music it’s under a different, arguably more english sounding name. What would be the reason for this?
Just for the record. Royston is a lovely, lovely person. Very kind hearted and not a malicious bone in his body. I’m not having a go at him personally. I know for a fact that producers behind the scenes deliberately portrayed contestants in a deliberate way and I’m wondering if the same was done for Royston.
They mentioned this during the finale when he performed.
I’m also sure it’s been advertised a week or so now. I’ve seen the ads.
Caught up with the final tonight on 7plus. It was spectacular as expected, especially Harry Connick Jr’s performance. Congratulations again to Royston, but his new singles failed to register in this week’s ARIA charts. Will have to wait until next week.
Phoebe tumbling down the stairs just before the winner announcement showed the unpredictability of live TV.
In a bad way.
The show isn’t about the contestants, it’s about the judges. I couldn’t even name one Voice winner from the last decade.
Why are 7 bringing this back? Wasn’t it a disaster?
Seven’s programming dept is basically just a microwave, it’s sole purpose is to reheat leftovers.
That is the real issue I have with The Voice. Last year with the UK series you saw articles the day after about one of the judges performing something but nothing about the actual contestants.
I feel like they need to replace HCJ with Adam Lambert
Claims that the US season was rigged too. Interesting.
too?
