No one watched them on 7 and no one will watch them on 9
Brilliant work by Nine. Good angles and vision switching and camera shots getting the crowd involved. Looks like they had more cameras on the ground and in the air than TVW-7.

Must say, the coverage felt a lot fresher on 9 this year. Seven used to basically just top and tail the fireworks with links. The 9 coverage actually looked at prep for it and the events of the day.
And Channel Nine’s Skyworks ranked #10th last night in Perth.
Nine surprisingly did a good job with a 30 min pre show before the main fireworks display. Seven’s coverage was a brief introduction then the Skyshow itself every year.

Did watch a little but anyone know whether they have uploaded Australia Day Skyworks on 9Now?

I’d give the coverage an 8.5/10. Michael Thomson was at South Perth while Scherri-Lee Biggs was at Langley Park.
The AC/DC projections on buildings were obviously pre-recorded.
