A rarer catch was 103.1 Classic FM Tamworth, as Hope 103.2 was also not enhanced.
Had a couple more Mt Dowe services than usual, i often only get 96.7, but 99.1, 99.9 and 100.7 were also heard.
One interesting thing i noticed that’s probably of interest to the DX crew - tonight i also had Real FM Mudgee / Kandos on both 93.1 and 97.9, but whilst 93.1 was broadcasting the sounds of silence, 97.9 had music with a Real FM ID, I had always assumed 97.9 would have been fed off air by 93.1.
Also had the usual suspects from Batemans Bay, Canberra, SW Slopes, Orange plus 106.3 and 107.1 from the CW Slopes. 2MCE 92.3 Bathurst also received.
ABHN-5 went to 5A in late 1976 going by ABCB Annual reports.
The original transmitter ended up in Castlemaine Vic and part of it was used by a community FM station transmitting from Mt Alexander on a temporary license for a while. (Central Vic Gospel Radio on 104.7 MHz, ERP about 1kW iirc).
Suspect I had 89.5 3PNN Bendigo earlier & 93.9 7ABCFM Hobart moments ago.
I can’t recall having SpE this late in the season before. Not complaining obviously
In Brisbane as well as the Eskip there is toppo happening to complicate identification. Middle Brother, Mt Dowe incl commercials and Inverell from the south plus Rockhampton off the back of the antenna.
