Getting Sea FM 102.5 strong tonight in Brisbane - didnāt realise that the advert breaks would be different. āNoosaās new 102.5ā. There may be some enhancement as Rocky ABCs are coming in.

The DX Gods awoke me from my slumber at 2.45am this morning & summoned me to the Qld Remote TEF. Iād hoped for something special with the strong tropo duct in the region & whilst the reception levels were good at the time, a little after 3am the DX really opened up.
Apart from ABC stations heard from Rocky & Mackay. I also heard 98.7 Triple M & the two commercials 93.5 & 95.1 from Gladstone (1st time rx), 92.9 unidentified community christian, 89.1 Hit Kingaroy & unexpected 88.3 4ABCRR Mirium Vale, Qld (50W), RDS from 93.1, 93.9 & 95.5 in Bundy. 94.7/97.1 Bundy.
A surprise log was 91.3 Kepple FM - Yeppoon, Qld

Reception of 91.3 only lasted 10minutes, but reached almost noise free levels.
Is this the same station as 4NAG? Lic is expired from ACMA records.
I suspect it is just a re-labelling of the same station
ABC FM stations from Grafton also noted overnight.
After 8am this morning hearing:
92.9 River FM Lismore, 99.9 Bay FM Lismore, 104.3 2LM Kyogle & 88.9 Richmond Valley Radio & still going with strong levels of the ABCās Mid Nth Coast stations (NSW).
No new RDS logs, 91.7 Gold Coast (GC) didnāt quite reach RDS levels, the only ABC GC stn not to be received with RDS overnight.
Reception of 90.9 & 92.5 GC mostly very weak during this tropo event past 12 hours.
Also very weak brief reception of 100.7 2ABCRN Upper Namoi heard at times after 9am.
Actually it could have been the very warm night that woke me up during the wee small hours 
, but Iām pleased I made the effort to have a brief listen to the Robās TEF at that early hour.

Re Miriam Vale ABCs, i could only get in car reception up to about 50 kms north/south when i was up that way in July.
And yes, 91.3 Keppel i think was 4NAG, I suspect now a TCBL, or maybe a hidden record?

Huge opening from the south into Brisbane this morning; mainly ABC Coffs at high levels plus some of the low power NNSW stations.

Remarkable wasnāt it. And perhaps more to come tonight, although maybe not as far reaching?
Iāll also add to my earlier post; after 9.30am this morning I also received 98.5 2PNN Northern Rivers with RDS over 98.5 4ABCFM Wide Bay.

Currently have ABC from Rockhampton at good levels.
Noting that 89.1 Kingaroy is a blank carrier ATM. Edit - back on.

Are any of the Mt Dowe frequencies free as they are also at good strength in Brisbane now.

Did you have any luck with 107.9 2COW or 102.3 2NIM from Brisbane?

Had 107.9. Also 2LM 104.3, 2RBR Coraki (a common pick up). Intermittent signal on 102.3 that I canāt identify.

Likely the smoke signal from 2NIM FM Nimbin! Itās āhighā time you received that one.

Iāve never received it on the Gold Coast or even on the Pacific Hwy near Byron Bay.
You really need to be close to Nimbin to get itā¦ though Iāve had weak reception on the east side of Lismore at Goonellabah where it too is a bit āhigherā.

Ryan Leigh Donaldson aka āCigarettes and Alcoholā (remember him?!) did receive it once from Brisbane iirc; he had (has?) a top gun setup though.

I have received 2NIM several times before , last time I wrote it down was 2021!
There are much more potentially interesting things on that frequency that is pretty much clear here.

More interesting things DX wise for sure but 2NIMās programming is rather unique 
I suppose 2JJJ Coonabarabran would be the next most likely target, but was Narrabri (Mt. Dowe) enhanced? Have you ever received ROX FM*** Port Macquarie on 102.3?
***I refuse to call it (s)hit- it will always be Rox FM to me.

Yes to Pt Macquarie including on the same opening as NIM. JJJ on many occasion plus TOO from the north. Canberra noted once.

When was this?
QLD tropo is difficult here due to channel blockage unfortunately. It has been done on several occasions from Cooma. I tried for Brisbane when I had NCL and 2BBB but no dice.

February 2017 - also noted were 103.9 and 104.7. Canberra received on 2 consecutive days.
