*Etihad. A lot more, certainly in years gone by. Looks better on TV too with the roof closed, AO appears more open and bigger.
Crowds had been under 20000 for the last 2 legends games they played in Melbourne (down from over 25K when it was midweek in the middle of the season).

I’m not sure of the rumours but if I were Port Adelaide I would part ways with Wingard this season. Get a first round pick for him and retain Jared Polec on a better contract. Chad Wingard is too lazy and I don’t think keeping him beyond next year will do Port Adelaide any favours. Part ways with him now while there is interest and keep the best player on your list in Polec.
What a contest to open the finals series! We have to remember these two haven’t faced off in a final before. Earlier rain looks to be having minimal effect now and crowd looks fantastic given that (I was heading home from the city this arvo - cue for “Luke why didn’t you go to the game?” good question and it was pelting cats and dogs 
Hawthorn are finally the ones to apply heat and take Richmond to task, I hate em with a passion and want Tigers to win, but makes good viewing.
The pressure is immense. But I just feel Richmond are going to be too good for them and it will end up being a 40+ win to the Tigers in the last half. I hope I am wrong.
I can actually see Hawthorn going out in straight sets.
And yes you should have went. Aren’t you an MCG member? There is cover. I am going to tomorrow nights game.

Frankie, knowing the 'G inside out, there’ll be TONS just staying inside the bars and watching the screens. Yep, defeats the purpose but you’ll be surprised how very common it is

Yes public, AFL and MCC tickets sold out leaving just the walkups for the MCC. Doesn’t mean everyone will actually turn up. Especially if they haven’t spent their hard earned on a ticket themselves.
I’ve probably spent in excess of a couple of years of my life at the MCG, fully aware how crowds are distributed throughout.
I’ve a few spare red and blue scarves if you feel like fitting in

Haha I would wear the red and blue scarves but there is no way I am wearing a blue and white scarf. I still cannot forgive Geelong for our 2007 thumping.

Fits in well at Richmond. Goes with his headlock on Howe earlier in the game. They’re a classless side with the most classless supporters I’ve ever had the misfortune of coming across.
Wow. Richmond have made 22nd consecutive wins at the MCG and advancing to the PReliminary final after smashing Hawthorn by 31 points in front of 91,446. The crowd was much lower than the predicted number of 97000.

The rain, the Thursday night timeslot and level crossings works in Essendon and Dandenong kept a few thousand fans away.
Hawthorn defender Ben Stratton pulled his right hamstring in the third quarter and is out for the rest of the finals.
