My guess is they want to give those who get tickets enough time to make travel arrangements, book time off work etc.

Sydney and Geelong again is unappealing for neutral fans given what happened last time round.

So less thank 20,000 at the NRL final last night and 44,000 at the AFL final. No one can ever claim NRL is Australia’s number 1 sport.

Fan of the team that has been in the most number of grand finals, complaining about how “neutral” fans will think about a potential GF match up.
There’ve been three Collingwood v Brisbane grand finals this century, including two back to back. One in three Grand Finals involve Collingwood!
Collingwood fans don’t get to be the ones complaining about other grand final matchups.

Exactly - it’s not like the AFL somehow gives Geelong or Sydney advantages.
Also, Collingwood have been in 6 grand finals since 2000 - the same amount as Geelong and Sydney. Brisbane have also been in 5 grand finals.
I honestly don’t get why everyone is saying it will be a boring match and a repeat of the match two years ago - a lot can change in two years in the world of footy.
Same with those who complain about whenever there is a possibility of a grand final without Non-Victorian teams - it’s a national competition.

I’d say west coasts backline is better. I’d take Barass and McGovern over Esava and Zerk Thatcher. Key forwards for west coast probably better too. I’d say port has a better midfield though. To be completely honest I think a coach would rather west coasts list to ports.
Lions have made a good come back in the 3rd quarter.
Looks like we are going to have a thrilling finish again - much better than last night’s one sided match.

why is WCE so bad at playing.
I think it was clear that the players had lost faith in the coach. Ken Hinkley has always had the players playing for him. It west coast went for him I can guarantee you would shoot up that ladder.
