Both teams look utterly underwhelming right now - to be fair, both are also coming off narrow wins.
Neither will win a flag at this rate so for Ken’s sake he might as well quit now.

Will make it another close game.
Not if GWS or Brisbane can beat Geelong next week (and I sure hope they do)
At the SCG, Accor Stadium or Engie Stadium perhaps… Not so sure about the MCG.
As a long time Hawthorn fan, I am very disappointed with the result. But overall the Hawks had a great season considering the 0-5 start.
Prelim week should be good, I’m quite interested in this Port and Sydney game, hard to say which way this will go, both teams have only played each other once a year, and R21 Sydney didn’t turn up.
Tonight will also be a good indicator if either team will be able to perform against the Cats next week. Fatigue and travel will be an issue against a resurgent cats who have a week off plus no travel.
What team do you go for:
Pretty average football here. Neither will get past Geelong watching this performance.
I have full confidence the Giants can beat Geelong next week (should they win tonight). The Giants have shown they can play anywhere. They have arguably the best forward in the comp and a great defence as well.
Next weeks is going to be a ripper prelim round. Nothing will be guaranteed for anyone it seems regardless the odds.
It’s happening again
Last Saturday night all over!
Wow!
Now THAT, was another incredible final!
Bring on next week!
Second week in a row GWS built up a sizeable lead only to lose the match.
Tonight the Giants led the Lions by 44 points into time on in the third quarter, before the Lions kicked 11 of the next 14 goals to victory.
The Orange Team
The … Incredible comeback! Everyone’s gonna hear them roar, as Katy Perry might say.
We could have a 2022, 2007 or 2004 grand final rematch
Geelong 2-1 over Brisbane with the Cats winning their last 2, also won a Saturday Prelim at the Gabba in 2020 during the COVID season
For a maximum of three quarters…
Brendan Kerin, a cultural educator with Sydney’s Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land Council, gave an address before the game between GWS Giants and Brisbane Lions game at Sydney Olympic Park on Saturday night, and said such ceremonies were ‘not for white people’.
Brisbane coming out of nowhere will be an issue for the Cats. The Plus for Geelong is they have two Brisbane games they can sit back and pull apart in detail. You can’t say they go into next week not knowing what to expect.
Wouldn’t be the first time the cats put the brakes on in the back half, Brisbane will come after them if they attempt that.
Looking forward to that one actually.
This is why the welcome to country processes need to be reviewed. Authorities just let them speak about whatever they wish for however long they wish.
At Melbourne’s Olympic Welcome Home Celebration yesterday, the gentleman that did the welcome to country went on for close to 10 mins rambling on about things
Please note: I am not intending to be disrespectful. I just feel like all things, it needs to be reviewed as it is getting out of hand a little.
That’s just ridiculous. So unnecessary.
