I think the thought is neautral supporters would watch it. But I doubt they would.
The Gather Round concluded tonight with Port Adelaide losing to St Kilda by 14 points at Adelaide Oval. The Saints twice led by more than 30 points before the home side made a surge, getting within eight points early in the final term.

Any more of these nonsense predictions, Nostradamus and youâre being banned for a week.
GWSâ social media team also write their banners?
Port Adelaide star Zak Butters was fined $1500 by the AFL Tribunal for using abusive language towards umpire Nick Foot during Sunday nightâs match against St Kilda.
St Kilda player Lance Collard was today handed a nine-week ban (two weeks suspended) for using a homophobic slur for the second time in his career.
Thatâs only an additional week from the previous punishment. Feels a bit light.
This is the game he can return.
South Australia will host Gather Round for at least the next three years with an announcement to come over the Showdown weekend, per Caroline Wilson. pic.twitter.com/7WGsLibLiK

Her track record this year has been crap. I will wait for the actually announcement.
Im sorry but why does it have to be in Adelaide ? I mean I get why it wonât go to wa as itâs probably too far for the Victorian trans (who constantly complain about it being too far for their little egos) ![]()
but surely the afl could share it with all the lther states .
Im not mocking Adelaide , just does not make sense to me to keep it there for the next year , either spread or around the counter or shut it off.
The SA government is probably putting money into it?
Well I gathered that too but it just seems odd to me it canât go to other states too.
It probably could if they paid for it. If SA took the initiative and investment to lock it in for Adelaide then so be it.
There were articles discussing this. Sydney nearly had it in the bag but SA and Premier Mali ramped up the lobbying (and presumably) cash effort to get it to Adelaide, and have kept it there since.
The regional games are nice and all, very pretty to watch on TV, but it really shows SA doesnât have a great second, let alone third, option for hosting AFL games. I looked into going to see the Cats play the Eagles but the game at Norwood was sold out before I could blink, so I didnât bother.
I think the reason why SA wants a 3-4 year deal is so they can put money into another stadium etc. so itâs got the capacity to use a new area for the fans and so itâs not always the same areas.
It happened on the same time that Harryâs wife Meghan was at Melbourne Showgrounds appearing as a special guest in an episode of MasterChef Australia.
Former Richmond and Collingwood player, and Magpies coach, Mick Erwin, has died.
Any reason why the AFL put two games on Friday night starting 30 minutes of each other? Because even though its the Sydney derby and thereâs no NRL game in the Sydney area (there is a Super Rugby game next doorâŚthanks guys
), itâll get trounced in the ratings.
The same reason behind all there decisions
