Herald Sun article taking a look behind the scenes at the Gold Coast Suns as the warning signs, leadership failings and cultural issues are exposed.
This bloke has had it in for us since we startedâŚ
The Gold Coast has long since been considered a sporting graveyard.
The NRL has had 4 different franchises up there since 1998, there was no team at all for about 8 years during that time, and their A-League team only lasted 3 years, so it doesnât surprise me that the Suns have struggled.
Move them to Tasmania
Time to Close the Gold Coast Football Club down as many of the People would Rather Barrack for the Southport Sharks than the Suns.
NO ITS NOT HAPPENING
Itâs not gonna happen, lets end these assumptions.
So What? They have a Tight Budget and canât keep any of their Young Players & the Suns are in the Same Grave as The 4 Rugby League Franchises Gold Coast have done.
The Titans look reasonably solid in the NRL though - for now, they are not under as much scrutiny/pressure as the Suns are.
Theyâve at least got your mob whose worse. And the Broncos are worse, which helps them.
Herald Sun reports that the AFL is considering to hold either Gold Coast v Richmond or Collingwood v St Kilda next Thursday night to start Round 16.
Iâm hoping to know soon when port and hawthorn are playing. My sister is coming for the game and itâs a bit hard to plan a weekend when you donât know when they are playing.
Because the AFL is worried about people planning their weekends.
Hopefully it is Suns v Tigers!
Iâm not saying they are. It was simply a comment that I hope I can find out soon. Not trying to have a go at the AFL at all. I completely understand the uncertainty at the moment.
Gosh Dangerfield is greedy. Surely he knows he is the worst set shot kick at his club. Yet he still takes a shot from 50 out. Misses everything and brisbane rebound and get a goal. Cost his team 12 points. Idiot. He is the kind of player that should never be a captain.
I will miss that game as I got rostered at work for both days, if the schedule was out now I could have asked to change it but next week will be too late
Victoriaâs public health assessment panel has told the AFL to spread out its fans as sporting crowds grow in the state.
(Victorian chief health officer Brett Sutton said)
âI think weâre clearly going to higher percentages in terms of attendance for those stadia like the MCG, AAMI Park and elsewhere so itâs appropriate that theyâre not bunched into a smaller zone.âIf thereâs empty seating, that means that there can be individual groups who sit more broadly across all of that seating as long as thereâs the same kind of hard zone compartmentalisation for the food and drink can happen and they can access the toilets and the same level of compliance and enforcement are done by those overseeing the games.â
Carlton signing Cripps wasnât surprising but I am not sure if it was the right decision. If my team went after Cripps I wouldnât support it.
