Agatha is hired to protect a woman from her ghosts of Christmas past, but when she’s found dead, Agatha has a murder investigation on her hands, with everyone in the village a would-be suspect - including the woman’s children.
It’s the week before Christmas and Agatha is hoping this will be a good one, but when Roy questions her commitment to the cause, she decides to give him the role of making it the best Christmas ever.
Whilst Roy is off making plans in full PR mode, Agatha receives a letter from the residence of Lower Tapor Manor, asking for protection against some ghosts of Christmas past that may be coming home to roost. Roy is reluctant to help, but Agatha thinks there’s no harm in taking a look at the job as it will probably be a quick one.
After a horrendous evening at Lower Tapor Manor, Agatha and Roy spend the night in the guest bedroom, hoping for it all to be over in the morning - until the protection detail turns into a murder investigation.
Agatha brings the gang together to solve the whodunnit and, with the whole of Lower Tapor village a suspect, the Agatha Raisin Detective Agency have their work cut out to find the culprit.

THE SECRET GARDEN tells the story of Mary Lennox (Dixie Egerickx -Genius, The Little Stranger), a prickly and unloved 10-year-old girl, born in India to wealthy British parents.
When they die suddenly, she is sent back to England to live with her uncle, Archibald Craven (Academy Award® and BAFTA-winner Colin Firth – A Single Man, The King’s Speech, Bridget Jones’s Baby) at Misselthwaite Manor, a remote country estate deep in the Yorkshire moors, under the watchful eye of Mrs. Medlock (BAFTA-winner Julie Walters – Mary Poppins Returns, Harry Potter, Mamma Mia) and with only the household maid, Martha (Isis Davis - Guilt, Electric Dreams) for company.
Mary begins to uncover many family secrets, particularly after chancing upon her sickly cousin Colin (Edan Hayhurst – Genius, There She Goes), who has been shut away in a wing of the house, and through her discovery of a wondrous garden, locked away and lost within the grounds of Misselthwaite.
While searching for Hector, a stray dog that led Mary to the garden walls, she befriends local boy Dickon (Amir Wilson – His Dark Materials, The Kid Who Would Be King) who, through the garden’s restorative powers, helps her to fix Hector’s injured leg.
Once brought together, these three damaged, slightly misfit children heal each other as they delve deeper into the mysteries of the garden – a magical place of adventure that will change their lives forever.

Miriam Margolyes is back on the road, heading west along the bottom of Australia, to understand what the Fair Go means in Australia today and how it is playing out in the diverse lives of her fellow citizens.
Following the standout success of her last series, Miriam Margolyes Almost Australian, the celebrated actor and intrepid commentator is back on the road. This time, Miriam is heading west, beginning in Tasmania and travelling as far along the bottom of the continent, as her 80-year-old bones will take her.
Since her last Australian adventure, the world has changed irrevocably and so has Miriam. At eighty, she’s more aware of her vulnerabilities and she’s worried that the global pandemic has left many of us isolated and divided – and undermined our commitment to fairness, or what Australians, like her, call “the Fair Go”.
Despite her anxieties, Miriam is determined to rediscover Australia “behind the mask” and find out what the Fair Go means to her fellow citizens today. As she puts it: “I’m certainly not past my use by date, and I hope the Fair Go isn’t either.”
Over three episodes, Miriam’s quest will see her immerse herself in diverse lives and experiences very different from her own.
Her journey begins in Lutruwita, Tasmania, as she explores how this unique Australian ethos could have taken root in such a notoriously harsh convict settlement. She then heads west, across the border to South Australia, to grapple with the future of the Fair Go, and what it means for the most vulnerable in society.

This live broadcast sees the Sydney Symphony Orchestra return to its home for a gala performance of Mahler’s Second Symphony, under the direction of their new Chief Conductor, Australian-born, internationally acclaimed Simone Young.
In a spectacle not to be missed, Mahler’s symphony, known as The Resurrection, brings together the 100 musicians of the Sydney Symphony with 190 members of the Sydney Philharmonic Choirs and an all-star cast including Australian Nicole Car (soprano) and Michelle DeYoung (mezzo-soprano, US). The performance also features a new work by renowned First Nations composer William Barton with the Gondwana Indigenous Children’s Choir and the Sydney Children’s Choir.
This historical moment marks the Sydney Symphony Orchestra’s 90th anniversary and their return to the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall – the iconic venue that it has called home since its opening in 1973.
The concert will also be broadcast live on ABC Classic and on the ABC listen app.
