Looking forward to hearing the NRL version. Hopefully Andrew doesn’t work himself too hard after his difficult year in 2025.

According to an on-air promo, ABC Radio will cover one match per day during the tournament, including all Matildas games.
The difference is those “selected key fixtures” will be broadcast on ABCLR, whereas the others will be Sport-exclusive.
There are occasional variants such as March 5 when Iran v Matildas will be only on LR in Gold Coast.

Wherever you are, whatever your code, we’ve got you covered on ABC Radio and ABC listen.
Are ABC doing the rapid streaming option in the Listen app?
Yes, it still an option in the app.
It will be interesting to see which sport gets the rapid streaming option on the Listen app tonight, since ABC Radio is broadcasting AFL, NRL and Women’s Asian Cup at the same time.
Good. Naed it for tonight at the SCG.
It’s whatever is on the ABC Sport station, which usually prioritises NRL over everything else (in NSW).
NRL will be on in Qld, and NSW. AFL everywhere else. AFC is stream only except for ABC Gold Coast.
So, depends on what feed of ABC Sport it uses.
@ElCapitanCranky Might want to take a radio with him for NewsRadio.
Way ahead of you. Got the all bands in my bag
ABC really need to put on a second pop up sports channel from Thurs to Sunday like they used to do with ABC Grandstand and ABC Grandstand 2. It’s not fair on people who want to listen to the Matildas on live radio, not on the app.
You’ve got the same NRL game on 3 DAB channels in NSW and ACT, which is a bit silly.
If Local Radio DAB is airing NRL into NRL markets, Sport should be airing AFL. Pretty obvious move to me.
To you, yes it does.
To the ABC…no it doesnt. ![]()
Where do you find the ABC Sport broadcast schedule these days?
ABC Sport rapid streaming button on my Listen app is broadcasting the NRL tonight.
ABC commentary team for the Women’s Asian Cup match between Australia and Iran: Quentin Hull, former Young Matilda Elissia Carnevas and Zane Bojack.
