Coverage begins with the tour match against the Western Force at Optus Stadium this Saturday (June 27) from 7.30pm AEST. Kick off is at 7.45pm AEST.
ABC Radio will also broadcast the Matildas’ friendlies against Slovenia and Panama in late June and early July.

Quentin is the busiest commentator at ABC Radio Brisbane, calling all football codes, cricket and several other sports. I wish there will be more people sharing his workload (Michael Price commentates AFL matches alongside Quentin when the Lions and the Suns play at home).

We are saddened to share that our colleague and friend Andrew Moore has recently suffered a heart attack. He has undergone surgery and is now recovering with his family.
Andrew has asked us to pass on his gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and hospital staff who have cared for him.
All of us at ABC Sport are sending our love and best wishes to Andrew, and we can’t wait to hear his voice back in the commentary box when the time is right.
Until then, mate - we’ve got things covered. Rest up and focus on getting well.

I’m pretty sure this is not the first one. Although I remember during the cricket learning how many ABC Sports commentators have had heart problems so it might not have been Andrew.
Chris Bath explained his absence from his regular preview of the upcoming NRL round on ABC Radio Sydney Drive this afternoon as “resting the vocal cords”.
With Andrew recovering from surgery, Brett Sprigg is calling tonight’s NRL match between the Panthers and the Storm.

Tim Gavel has confirmed he’s retiring from radio commentary after this season.

That will be the second time Tim retires from radio commentary.
He’s got a very unique style of calling rugby league, I don’t mind listening to him call games.
The only time I heard him really excited was the recent golden point game Canberra vs Penrith.
Warriors v Panthers is being called off the screen due to not having Andrew Moore available.

ABC Radio will have live commentary of the Bledisloe Cup game between the All Blacks and the Wallabies, live from Eden Park in Auckland this Saturday afternoon (September 27), giving sports fans an alternative to the AFL Grand Final broadcast. The rugby commentary will be on ABC Sport Extra on both digital radio and ABC Listen app.
