What You Need to Know premieres on July 21.
GMA3: What You Need to Know, just recycling shit names at this point.
While WPLG celebrated their ‘independence day’, the new ABC Miami got a lot of housewarming from the network news people…
The 7News anchor duo were on GMA (which will be doing a week-long showcase around town too):
And David Muir was on 7News’ 6pm bulletin for a chat before World News Tonight:
As one of the simulcasted WSVN news bulletins, the ABC Miami version got a simple bug plaster:
Interestingly, GMA First Look was both the first and last show on ABC Miami and WPLG respectively. This was the first morning of the former, including the local news and weather inserts between GMA:
interesting they didn’t have this ready to go for their move a few months back.
The opener is the same it’s just a redo of their logo by making it 3D instead of 2D
It’s a pretty elaborate upgrade to what they were using before and the music also seems updated.
I do like it, but would be nice if they used imagery from other parts of the country too.
More than 100 former ABC News employees including Sam Donaldson, Tom Bettag and Judy Muller have signed on to a letter urging Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Iger to step it up when it comes to publicly defending journalists under political attacks and the company itself against government pressure.
KGO in San Francisco is in their newsroom, while the main set is under renovation. Sports and weather are in different parts of the office.
Here’s them acknowledging it on Tuesday’s 6pm news:
Not really the best backdrop - looks like a telesales office than newsroom to me
When you could have virtually anything.
looks exactly like a newsroom. Desks, computers.
It’s a little strange, but KGO-TV is somewhat space constrained in that building, named the “ABC Broadcast Center.” KGO-TV is on the second floor, and ABC agreed to rent out the third floor (the former KGO radio space) to rival independent station KRON. There’s also oddly a law firm as a tenant in the building too.
KGO-TV has a much larger secondary studio — that they also now permanently lease out to KRON. Supposedly it was originally meant to be used for some sort of ABC Regis/Oprah-esque talk show, but nothing ever launched. So if their main studio is out of commission, then they have nowhere else to go but various newsroom shots and their outdoor weather deck.

isn’t this just an incorrect image?
Or incorrect post. No one took a look at it and thought “that’s not right”, apparently.
