Keep it up and give the man the main gig.
Isk was relegated to a colour piece on a shop still renting out DVDs last night. Nothing personal against him, but hopefully thatâs where he stays!
National sports reporter David Mark is in the US covering the FIFA World Cup. His report on the Socceroosâ preparations in Oakland, California aired tonight.
Agreed. Heâs a nice bloke and heâs a good journalist, but heâs shown that heâs not main host material.
Thanks Ben ![]()
Hahaha not Ben. I just think heâs a good presenter and pretty damn easy on the eye ahah
Maybe I have daddy issues hahaha
Amanda Shalala is in Mexico covering the FIFA World Cup.
Mark Schwarzer joins the ABCâs FIFA World Cup coverage
ABC audiences can follow all the action through our live blogs of every match, breaking news from our team in North America, and analysis from the ABCâs voice of football, Ned Hall, as well as expert insights from Socceroos legend Mark Schwarzer.
At the centre of the coverage is a dedicated World Cup podcast, hosted by Patrick Stack and featuring Socceroos legend Mark Schwarzer. The podcast will deliver daily reaction, expert analysis and behind-the-scenes insights from across the tournament.
As one of Australiaâs most respected football voices, Mark Schwarzer brings a world of experience to the ABCâs FIFA World Cup coverage, drawing on a remarkable playing career that included 109 appearances for the Socceroos and two FIFA World Cup campaigns.
For ABC Local Radio audiences, the ABCâs voice of football Ned Hall joins a specialist coverage team including Brett Sprigg, Aaron Bryans and Zane Bojack, delivering match insights throughout the competition.
On the ground, ABC News National Sport Reporter David Mark and journalist Tom Wildie will be embedded with the Socceroos, bringing breaking news, analysis and exclusive access from inside the Australian camp as the team progresses through the tournament.
Amanda Shalala will deliver coverage from across the host nations, capturing the atmosphere and stories of the tournament from the opening match in Mexico City through to the final in New York. Shalala is one of the ABCâs most experienced sports broadcasters, having covered major global events including the Paris 2024 Olympic and was ABC Newsâ 2023 FIFA Womenâs World Cup Lead.
ABC News will complement the coverage with comprehensive digital and broadcast coverage, including live blogs of every match, breaking news coverage, live crosses and original reporting from across the tournament.
Fans can also watch Offsiders on Sundays at 10am on ABC TV and ABC iview for expert analysis of the FIFA World Cup.
Together, the ABCâs coverage will give Australian audiences in depth access to the biggest sporting event in the world, wherever and however they choose to follow the action.
