ABC NT still can’t figure out who can present their bulletins on a permanent basis, so they’ve decided 4 is the go + the odd appearances of Amy Culpitt, Eleni Roussos and whoever can do it on the day.
I would say this is a cost-cutting measure by relying on the journalists to present the bulletins on rotation rather than having a dedicated presentation team.

Or maybe they’ve been watching ABC 7pm VIC and after seeing their merry go round of presenters, they’ve decided ‘if they can do it, why not us’?

In NSW, it almost always used to be Juanita Phillips as the main weeknight presenter or Jeremy as back up, rarely ever anyone else on weeknights, even over summer.
Lately it’s been a lot less clear.

Some people (especially the elder demos) like a well known face or trusted voice to give them the news.
Its hugely important to the commercial networks in particular as to who they get to present the news
