ABC News Presenters and Reporters

ah, gosh nice cushy gig then!

Not really? He still does NSW weather 5 nights a week.

yeah, very nice cushy gig, especially compared to his predecessor.

To be fair, there is a reasonable chance that some of the later forecasts were pre-recorded.

I don’t recall a major weather event being on last week when I saw him, but he may have been on because of the bushfires in western Victoria, which are weather related.

Article here from Tamara Oudyen about her suffering with migraines. I’d expect this has a lot to do with her frequent absences. I don’t want to trigger a debate about whether she should or shouldn’t have that role but as someone who suffers also from migraines but only a few a year, I have full sympathy for her and wish her all the best.

News from the Canberra Parliament newsroom, David Lipson will be moving back to Canberra, to take over the running of that newsroom, as Editor, Politics.
He fills the vacancy left by Michelle Ainsworth, who has been missing in action for almost 12 months…

Michelle was in charge of the Political newsroom, not an on air reporter or presenter. Louise Yaxley was the editor before her, who covered 10 federal elections.

The report named Jamelle Wells as the journalist involved.

A bit of a stupid mistake for one of the ABC’s veteran reporters to be making.

It’s a interesting story as for several months now Ray Hadley has been part of the campaign questioning why the RSPCA hasn’t been involved and that the counts the government has been doing have been flawed. Indicating more animals than actually indicated to justify the aerial shootings
. Sure it is a concern however in my view there are more important issues and I am questioning what Hadley’s actual motive is. This was not something mentioned comprehensively in the Media Watch episode.
