The ABC iView listing for the ABC News Queensland bulletin has quietly listed Ellen Fanning as the presenter of the Friday and Saturday editions now. Ellen and other presenters have been sharing the duties for some time prior, but looks like a permanent choice has been made now.

Maybe itâs for personal or family reasons? Not everyone has/wants to stay in higher profile role in Sydney or Melbourne.
Doesnât Ellen Fanning occasionally host The Drum as well? She will have to travel between Sydney and Brisbane during the week.

Well she did grow up and go uni there. With cost of living and with a shift of population to Queensland we might see more of these moves.

Tracey Holmes announced her resignation from the ABC today. She will leave the broadcaster on November 30. The move comes just months after her husband Stan Grant departed the ABC.
