Also Ros Childs’ midday shift has been extended to 4pm so the arvo readers (Gemma and Kirsten) seem to be out of the schedule at the moment.
Karina Carvalho is slated to do mornings from Monday week, with Lorna Dunkley next week.

Lorna has been on Weekend Breakfast for this past weekend filling in for Fauziah. Maybe she’s going to be Jo’s replacement while she is on maternity leave.

It’s a shame they can’t give the 8pm bulletin a real identity. Like maybe ‘The Nation’ as a sister show to the business and the world.
Melbourne’s set looks good with the standing presentation at the beginning of the bulletin.

ABC main channel with breakdown slide across the east coast.
ABC News Channel also off air with no normal programming. No ticker or clock.

12:42 - Midday News just came back on air but from Parliament House studio acknowledging still having technical problems.
