Not to mention the former presenter of the Evening program on NSW/ACT Local Radio until relatively recently…
Lindy is much better suited to the evening programmes than when she was on drive.
Seeing those names, I’m missing Tony already.
Sadly, that’s what they want you to think. It’s ridiculous, the language they’re forced to use to give that perception.
The end is near, Tony’s final Nightlife tonight but even worse, the last ever Challenge! Earlier this week they had Madam Lash in who comes up with the questions and has done for many years. For anyone else who heard it, I’d vote for her to be the final replacement, people would be too scared to fall asleep. She sounded like a dominatrix.
I’ll miss him ,have been listening to ‘Nightlife’ for about 10 years now
Wonder how he’ll sign off tonight. Be interesting if makes a speech or if he’ll go out quietly so to speak.
End of an era.
Madam Lash is real???
Yes she is real. I know one of my fellow Delta Goodrem fans is a friend of Madam Lash.
It turns out Jim Maxwell has suffered a stroke and was paralysed down his right side, but he has since started to regain mobility and can now walk with assistance, according to The Daily Telegraph. He will spend this summer on rehab instead of commentating. Wish him a speedy recovery.
Maxwell’s absence means though Gerard Whateley will have to take most of the duty for ABC’s cricket coverage. Problem is that Whateley is expected to be at Flemington for Oaks Day and Stakes Day in first week of November, both of which overlap with the first test against South Africa in Perth, so ABC may have to rely on people like Clint Wheeldon for ball-by-ball coverage.
Maybe Andrew Moore?
Or use Matt Hill for the races.
With no Sunday Footy now until Grand Final day, I love how for the last few years Grandstand have filled the void by calling bush Grand Finals. Today on the network They’re doing Group 20. 1233 did the Newcastle Grand Final
Yep. Almost certainly will be used.
When dose Peter Bell start at 720
Abc TV Breakfast Sport Presenter Paul Kennedy will fill in for Jon Faine on Grand Eve Friday Public Holiday.
I think I heard a promo for Waleed Aly from Monday.
According to The Australian, 666 ABC Canberra breakfast radio host Philip Clark will fill in as Nightlife host for the rest of this year. The permanent host will be announced as part of the ABC Radio 2017 content line-up later this year.
Why can’t they just leave Dom in for the rest of the year?
That’s what I was wondering and the way Dom has been sounding is as though he was expecting to be there for a while longer yet.
It may well be Wheeldon, Hull and Neil Manthorp doing the test in Perth given South Africa’s tests come first.
