I agree. The bluntness was almost as confronting as the original comments. A pity, because I have been enjoying their show.
As for that 7NEWS story, they desperately need to employ some proof-readers.

I have to say that the promos that ABC Radio Melbourne are currently airing for Ali Moore are terrible.
They sound like instructions for a class activity read by a teacher rather than an invitation to listen to an engaging and thoughtful radio programme.

Does anyone know why the metro stations are branded ABC Radio Whatever but the regionals are just ABC Whatever?
I can’t see what would be wrong with ABC Radio Wimmera or ABC Radio Gippsland etc? It can’t be the length of the name, surely…?

They’ve used the same font for the station name (i.e. ABC Far North, etc) each stations webpages since around 2022-23.

Mediaweek understands that Mike Fitzpatrick will be departing from his role at the ABC at the end of this month, marking the close of an 18-month tenure as Head of Capital Networks and Sport.
In a message to staff, which Mediaweek has seen, ABC’s Head of Audio Ben Latimer shared that Mike’s decision comes after a health diagnosis late last year, prompting him to prioritise his wellbeing.
