Spencer mentioned when he started his stint a few weeks ago that Joel Spreadborough would be doing a few weeks after him.
Currently the guide lists various presenters for Boxing Day Breakfast, with Joel Spreadborough listed for Friday.
Regional QLD guides list David Iliffe as presenting a statewide regional program.
This is the national broadcast, it premiered on ABC Radio in NT yesterday and can be heard via this link.
Well yes, the schedule posted is the national one

Scott Lamond (ABC Wide Bay Chief of Staff) hosted Australia All Over this morning. He said that Macca is now on holidays and will be back âin a few weeksâ.
Sarah Howells (ABC Sunshine Coast) will host Woodford Folk Festival this Tuesday (New Yearâs Eve) from 7pm to 9pm, featuring some of the highlights from the event at Moreton Bay Region so far.
I thought Scott did a really good job, felt lively and still true to the format - but that might be just against the backdrop of how woeful Macca is.
Just curious as to why ABC Wide Bay would need a âChief of staffâ? Seems like overkill. Itâs not the White House lol. Does every local ABC have one of those?
Many, if not, all regional ABCâs to my understanding have a chief of staff. In some cases they also double as on air presenters (i.e. Andrew Schmidt in Broken Hill), or step in to fill gaps in the newsroom or radio if needed.
Perhaps itâs just a terminology thing. Theyâre more like a station manager. The term Chief of Staff sounds ridiculously pretentious. Itâs creeping into a lot of government and ministerial vocabularies.
Chief of Staff
Thereâs a bit of a joke in tech startup circles at the moment that the CEOâs Executive Assistant is getting renamed âChief of Staffâ but still largely doing the same things (problem solving on behalf of the CEO). Wether they still make the bossâ coffee I am still unsureâŚ

These days are known as âLocal Editorsâ. They essentially oversee the running of that bureau including staff, radio programs, newsroom, property etcâŚ
A bit of the job description is here (gathered from a previous advert for the same role advertised in early 2024 for Mackay).

The programs were always going to air on the digital platforms - will now air on analogue as well for obvious reasons.
James Findlay is presenting National Drive from 4pm to 6.30pm.
In Queensland, there instead was a regional Drive program today from 3-6pm presented by Kaitlyn Sawrey, and another for Brisbane and Gold Coast presented by Bern Young.
Rob Kidd (previously of 4MK) has joined ABC Tropical North as itâs new Breakfast presenter.
Didnât see that coming! Pricey to ABC North Queensland next?
Meanwhile, clearly no-one at MK got the memoâŚ
Breakfast with Rob Kidd is lots of fun, with competitions, prizes, and lots of laughs.

ABC Victoria has named Nic Healey as the new presenter for its flagship Statewide Mornings program.
Originally hailing from Deniliquin in the Riverina area of NSW, Nic joined the ABC in 2018, hosting regional breakfast radio first in Karratha in WA, then Dubbo in NSW and more recently, in Shepparton, Victoria.
âIâm honoured and excited to be stepping behind the mic on Statewide Mornings,â Nic said.
âItâs an incredible opportunity to help share some of the amazing stories from right around Victoria.
"The team is one of the most dedicated and skilled that you could find on radio anywhere in the country â Iâm looking forward to working with them.
âPlus, after nearly seven years of Breakfast radio that extra hour of sleep is going to feel life changing.â
Regional Editor Victoria, Toni Hetherington said the appointment reflected ABCâs ongoing commitment to local programming.
âThe regional Victorian audience is already familiar with Nic, who brings a wealth of experience and leadership to this role.â
Nic will be based in Shepparton and will present his first show of the year on Monday 13 January.
The program will be broadcast across regional Victoria, local radio frequencies can be found here: https://reception.abc.net.au/
