Andrew Moore has called 5 NRL matches for ABC this week. Canberra, Cronulla, Auckland & the Olympic Stadium.

ABC have cut costs, merging rural reports. This disgraceful. There needs to be a greater focus on local content, not this pan regional content.
Besides the road and rail, no common link between Muswellbrook and Tamworth. One is in the Hunter, the other is in a western river catchment, rivers flow in different directions. Development encroachments in the Hunter aren’t such a matter in Tamworth and who in each area wants to hear details of the other?
In SA/Vic, this carries on over state borders. Swan Hill Mildura’s merged with Riverland.

Another example of a merged rural report panning across two states is the one covering South East NSW & Gippsland (VIC).

Another most ridiculous decision.
Within the SE NSW signal area, you have the very different coastal agri/aquaculture to that up on the Great Dividing Range. To then combine with Gippsland is spreading content far too thin.

Upper Hunter Shire is in New England’s federal electorate, but not Muswellbrook or Singleton shires. When Mike has not been around, or when the Muswellbrook studios were being renovated, we get Tamworth’s rural report.
It’s barely acceptable in some instances, but surely not on an ongoing basis.

ABC Radio transmitted to Mossman QLD on 639 AM is currently affected by poor audio quality and dropouts on air. The fault is currently under investigation with our service provider but no estimated time of fix is available at this stage. ABC Far North Queensland is also available via the online stream and in the ABC listen app.

Going through the comments if both articles shows the ABC have stuffed up breakfast in Melbourne. I’ll admit to having left the new hosts on after the 7am news a few times lately and often wonder is Shah is having a day off as there’s often considerable periods where he doesn’t bother contributing. Parsons is tolerable but she’s no Red.

3AW Rumour File has been on for years after 7am news, should be more than a few times!
I’ve rarely listened to AW breakfast, so often if I’ve flicked over I get an ad, so flick to SEN - and get an ad. If anything I’ll listen to RN or leave the radio off until 7:45 now.
