Possibly the only thing better than ABC COMEDY rerunning Frontline would be a Gogglebox review of one of the repeats!

I’m not too sure if the ABC should be rerunning this episode in 2018, because…

I don’t think we need to censor the whole past just because someone who appears in an episode is unsavoury.

#348

Unlike say Rolf Harris who’s a convicted sex offender.

As posted previously, Tropfest will be broadcast from Sydney’s Parramatta Park tonight. It will be live in NSW, ACT, VIC and TAS, and delayed in QLD, SA, WA and NT.
8:00pm Tropfest 2018
Join hosts Zan Rowe and Susie Youssef for Australia’s favourite short film festival, with special guest judge Susan Sarandon. Who will win this year’s coveted fruit bowl trophy?
11:00pm Ricky Gervais Live: Fame

The Lawrence Mooney program on tonight, what was wrong with the quality of the recording or the broadcasting quality?

Looked like it was on lo fi video tape, grainy, wishy washy colour.

All other ABC channels looked fine.

Is it low bitrate, poor original recording or the combo?

Virgin Bush

image

From Tuesday 27 March at 10:15pm

image

He’s a stand-up comedian, an internet sensation and a self-proclaimed ‘city slicker’.

So, Neel Kolhatkar is heading to the bush to meet the locals and put his nose to the grindstone. Can he hack it though? Sheep shearing, pigeon racing, bow hunting, rally driving and bull riding aren’t exactly for the faint hearted. Well, maybe pigeon racing… But Neel gets to experience an Australia that most Aussies never see and at the same time, he’s feeding his stand-up schtick too.

Saddle up for Virgin Bush.

EP1 Carinda, NSW
Tuesday 27 March at 10.15pm
Neel heads to Carinda in Western NSW to try his hand at sheep shearing. The locals aren’t impressed.

EP2 Dubbo, NSW
Tuesday 3 April at 10.15pm
Neel is in Dubbo to explore the world of fine art and pigeon racing

It’s back tonight. Finally! It’s been a long wait since the first two seasons screened.

Tom Ballard during his opening segment last night after his begging and pleading for the audience to laugh at his lame jokes fell on deaf ears.

#358

An admission that ABC Comedy is a failure? Simulcasting on the main channel to get more viewers.

#359

Was on the main channel last year. Don’t really see how simulcasting it on Comedy is admitting it is a failure.
With that said, I don’t like simulcasts.

A comedy sketch on Tonightly with Tom Ballard last week attracted controversy, in which the Australian Conservatives candidate in the weekend’s Batman by-election in Melbourne was described with a c-word.
Australian Conservatives founder, Senator Cory Bernardi, has written to ABC managing director Michelle Guthrie to complain about the segment and demand an apology.

Brian (James Buckley from The Inbetweeners), is a temporary office worker who gets a mysterious package addressed to someone in Munty. When he opens it and puts on the amulet within, he is teleported to a parallel universe inhabited by psychopathic fairies, soothsayers and wizards. Brian is desperate to get home, but his new acquaintances are no help at all. Instead he finds himself sucked into a world he doesn’t understand.
