Join hosts Zan Rowe and Susie Youssef for Australia’s favourite short film festival, with special guest judge Susan Sarandon. Who will win this year’s coveted fruit bowl trophy?
11:00pm Ricky Gervais Live: Fame

The Lawrence Mooney program on tonight, what was wrong with the quality of the recording or the broadcasting quality?

Looked like it was on lo fi video tape, grainy, wishy washy colour.

All other ABC channels looked fine.

Is it low bitrate, poor original recording or the combo?

He’s a stand-up comedian, an internet sensation and a self-proclaimed ‘city slicker’.

So, Neel Kolhatkar is heading to the bush to meet the locals and put his nose to the grindstone. Can he hack it though? Sheep shearing, pigeon racing, bow hunting, rally driving and bull riding aren’t exactly for the faint hearted. Well, maybe pigeon racing… But Neel gets to experience an Australia that most Aussies never see and at the same time, he’s feeding his stand-up schtick too.

Saddle up for Virgin Bush.

EP1 Carinda, NSW
Tuesday 27 March at 10.15pm
Neel heads to Carinda in Western NSW to try his hand at sheep shearing. The locals aren’t impressed.

EP2 Dubbo, NSW

ABC and Melbourne International Comedy Festival deliver the laughs across Australia

From Wednesday 28 March to Saturday 22 April 2018

ABC is thrilled to be partnering with the Melbourne International Comedy Festival (MICF) once again, in a shared commitment to showcase the best comedy creators from Australia and around the world.

An admission that ABC Comedy is a failure? Simulcasting on the main channel to get more viewers.

Was on the main channel last year. Don’t really see how simulcasting it on Comedy is admitting it is a failure.
With that said, I don’t like simulcasts.
